Virginia Tech men's basketball coach James Johnson released a statement on HokieSports.com.
Virginia Tech head basketball coach James Johnson has announced that Marquis Rankin has elected to leave the Virginia Tech men's basketball team, effective immediately.
"I completely support Marquis on his decision, " Johnson said. "He is an outstanding young man who had to make a difficult choice and I know that he took the time to make sure it was the correct decision. While we will miss not having him on the team, I am very happy that he has decided to stay at Virginia Tech and work towards his ultimate goal of a degree from our University."

I should probably preface this by saying I am no where nearly as astute when it comes to breaking down film and understanding the nuances of plays as the officially sanctioned writers here on TKP. I should also acknowledge the fact that I was a 160 lb. backup center in high school (thank THE LORD for the crab block, yall), so most of my knowledge comes from sideline observation of my coaches and doing the complete opposite of what they did, which turned out to be the silver lining of two seasons where we won a total of two games.

The ACC as a conference is arguably having its best football season with 11 bowl teams including 2 BCS bowl teams and FSU likely to win the national title. There is more that the ACC could do to further strengthen itself among the 5 football power conferences and I think this spring is the best time for the conference to make a big move going into the playoff era. Here's my proposal for the ACC to add Notre Dame, become the first 16 team power conference with 4 team divisions, and develop a 4 team conference championship playoff.

There is currently a rumor being tossed around in Austin that the University of Texas may be interested in speaking with Hogwarts Headmaster Albus Dumbledore about their possible head coach opening.
According to a close source, "The Board at UT is fascinated by the idea of having a wizard steer the Longhorn ship to a title..if there is a non-wizard institution that would have the resources to lure Dumbledore away from Hogwarts, it would definitely be Texas."
So far, efforts to contact Dumbledore for his comments have proved fruitless, as Hogwarts can't be found on a map and is invisible to non-magical humans, otherwise known as muggles.

Safety
Safety first, kids. Don't go to Juarez. Just don't. I don't care what you've heard - NO. Also, visiting Lower Valley (far East side) isn't a great idea, nor is driving Paisano after dark.
El Paso is located in the high desert - the elevation here is 4000+ feet above sea level. For those of you who live at or near sea level, it's not going to be fun when combined with the low humidity. Drink a LOT of water. Really. Bring a refillable bottle of water and keep it topped off all day, every day. Also not fun at this elevation is the sun - if it's at all sunny, please wear sunscreen. You will burn much faster here. Finally, the lip balm of your choosing (I'm a Burt's girl, myself) will be greatly beneficial. (Also, if you're prone to nosebleeds or are sensitive to low humidity, consider asking your hotel for a humidifier to put in your room. It'll make life so much nicer.)

He was from Alabama. I congratulated him on Auburns remarkable turnaround and naturally the conversation turned to Loeffler. Of course he talked about how inept Loeffler is and how since 'everyone is calling for Frank Beamers head' that he'll get rid of Loeffler before a couple of years pass so Frank can avoid being fired as the head coach. I quickly educated him that Frank Beamer is unlikely to be fired and that I am a wait and see on Loeffler because it looks like at least we have a coherent offensive system. He politely and doubtfully rolled his eyes.

I had the pleasure (and the utter agony) of watching the Hokie Ladies football it out with the Nole chicks on Friday. The pleasure was watching the Ladies twice come back from down a goal to tie the game. The agony was watching senior Jazmine Reeves' shot to tie it in the last minute smash the crossbar.
Anyway...shout out to the Lady footballers. Great season after being picked to finish at the bottom of the conference. This team is TOUGH. Looking forward to next year with most of team coming back. To the outgoing seniors - we will miss you guys.

Is it possible we could maybe get shirts available on the site maybe using some of the popular hashtags such as #MANBEARPIG or #PunterSwag on this site? I know this topic was brought up about a month ago but it involved player likeness. (aj hughes) But what im proposing could simply maybe be an orange shirt (with horse on a treadmill and decade of dominance already being maroon)and then with a maroon hashtag and the keyplay logo somewhere. I would definitely buy and rock these, anyone else on here like the idea?

HOly crap what a week rivalry week was for college football. As good as any week that I can remember. Week 15, Championship Week has to follow this. Good luck. Ill miss a majority of these games, since Ill be on vacation, hence the very early post drop, but the SEC and B10 Championship games look awesome on paper. The life and times of #beercontrolfather caught up to me this week, there will be no commentary, just the games and the picks. I leave you a photo collection of some of the finest fans each school has to offer and a FSU rap.
