A Tale of Two QBs

Earlier this month, Virginia Tech record slayer Tyrod Taylor tweeted out some photos of his college rings alongside his Super Bowl ring with the Baltimore Ravens.

757Hokey had the original post here.

At the time, I joked that Mike London already had a response, but it turns out I was way off base. I am here to humbly admit my error.

Would you rather...

Beat Alabama and then lose 8 games this season and watch the bowl streak come to an end?

Lose to Bama and then have only one loss and win the ACC only to lose another BCS bowl?

My Favorite Dad Story

With both of my parents being Hokies, I have a ton of Tech sports related memories of my dad and I, but I think this is probably my absolute favorite one:

In 1998 we got tickets to watch Tech play Temple. Our seats were about one or two rows from the top of the East stands, so it took forever to get up there on the account that my parents had to make sure their 8 and 4-year-olds made it up there without doing anything dumb and/or getting lost.

Shai Mckenzie

Shai, a 4-star RB out of Pennsylvania, recently tweeted his top 5. Looks like there is some bright news in a day of gloomy weather--we made the cut. We're up against mostly ACC schools, GT, PITT, FSU, and the token SEC program, Arkansas. I like our chances. This kid reminds me of a Darren Evans; big, bruising, punishing back with decent top-end speed. I'd guess our stiffest competition will come from PITT, his hometown program. Keep the faith Hokie Nation, we'll get ours.
