Kendall Fuller and Wyatt Teller- Thoughts on the Army All American Game

A good friend of mine works for Jersey Mikes corporate office, and he had the opportunity to manage the catering for the Army All American Game in San Antonio. The game featured two 2013 Hokies in Kendall Fuller and Wyatt Teller, and three other Virginia kids in Derrick Green, Ryan Burns, and Jonathan Allen. I have spoke with him several times and I watched the game on Sunday. Here is my attempt to loop our observations together.

Multitalented DE, OT, H-Back Wyatt Teller commits to Virginia Tech

Wyatt Teller committed to Virginia Tech over the University of Virginia this afternoon. It was a highly contested recruiting battle. UVa was thought to be his leader for quite some time, but Tech made up ground over the past two weeks and received his pledge. Teller was rated the number six player in Virginia, a 4-star prospect by Rivals.com with 16 I-A offers including: Clemson, Michigan, Oregon, and Notre Dame. Teller has the ability to play defensive end, d-tackle, or offensive tackle at the next level. Tech recruited him as a defensive lineman (d-end).

Teller is a big, relentlessly aggressive, versatile player; another fantastic addition to an already outstanding 2013 class.

When I spoke to his high school coach, Sean Finnerty, back in May he weighed 265 pounds after playing last season at 240. That's a lot of growth, and a 6-5 frame will allow him to pack on more mass. "Not many people can scratch their kneecap without bending over," Finnerty told me.

6'4, 260-pound man child Wyatt Teller is choosing between Virginia and Virginia Tech soon.

By all accounts, this guy is primed to come in to a program and wreck shop for a few years before going on to the NFL and wrecking more shop.

2013 Recruiting: Wyatt Teller

Wyatt Teller has played defensive end, offensive tackle, linebacker, and H-Back for Liberty High School in Bealeton, Virginia. Both Rivals and 247 rate him a 4-star recruit, and both Virginia Tech and Virginia want to sign him, and they're the favorites.

After watching his film, it was no surprise that he holds 14 I-A offers including: Tech, UVa, Michigan, Notre Dame, Tennessee, South Carolina and Clemson. On his highlights he's relentlessly aggressive, physically superior in size and speed to everyone he lines up against. Liberty coach Sean Finnerty was gracious enough to talk to me about his stud player.

How is his play when he becomes engaged with blockers, is he able to separate well, move down the line and maintain good position?
