I hope everyone had a safe and gluttonous Thanksgiving. Hopefully there was not too much tryptophan cannibalistically consumed yesterday! HokieNation's annual Turkey Day tradition of beating the britches off the Wahoos has finally arrived. #NINESTRAIGHT. Let's do this.

Much has changed since 38-0. The Cavaliers (not surprisingly) lost their bowl game to Auburn on New Year's Eve. Naturally, Mike London called the 43-24 drubbing "progress" and immediately hit the recruiting trail.

"Hey Coach, you have a minute? It's really important!"

"...uh ok. Just wanted to inform you that the practice facility is on fire. LIKE YOUR JOB."

Oh well. Coach London probably was too busy trying to recruit Olympic Gold Medalist Gabby Douglas. There is always a scholarship for one more 757 quarterback in Charlottesville, right POTUS?

After finishing last season with an 8-5 record, many believed the Wahoos to be trending upwards. Then 2012 happened. UVA sits at 4-7, and at one point lost six-straight games, including a winless October.

I don't need to explan what's at stake for the Hokies this year: a bowl berth, and a win streak against their in-state rivals that stretches back almost a decade. Bud's boys need to live in the backfield to ensure #NINESTRAIGHT.

I fully expect Tech to take out all of the season's frustrations in this game. I don't want the year to end tomorrow, and I know for certain the team doesn't. Give 'em hell Hokies!
