Tech has been posting about spring workouts with the strength staff. Today's was interesting because I think one of the S&C staff is talking to McClease at the end.

On another interesting note, apparently Dax is trying to drop weight to better suit himself to play backer. I've been told that he's lost 10 or 15 pounds already. Tough to tell in that video but there was a video of Colorado drills posted by VTF twitter and you can tell that he looks like he's lost some baby fat.
Meanwhile Quincy out there getting extra tenders at Xabys.
Also this will now be an NCAA violation and loss of bowl game and scholarship reductions /s
You joke, but I seriously wouldn't put it past those assholes...
Thanks Richie! Not all heroes wear capes.
My Zaxby's sauce told me they think when it comes to Quincy, the number 4 is just as good as the number 7... take that for what it's worth.
Good for him . I think even at mike he could benefit to lose some of the fat he had to get a little more speed . Still a young man so I expect him to lose fat and continue to get stronger with our strength and conditioning program .
McClease is back with the program.
Wasn't sure how "back" he really was.
he BAK
on a scale of 100-800%?
Let's hope it's not 800%
How about on a scale from Miami-100?
This is disappointing. [In case it's not obvious, talking about the non-Rambo-esque cut]
"If you could take your teammates to Colorado and do anything with them, what would it be...?"
Interviewer was totally fishing for a response, hoping he'd say "smoke massive amounts of weed"
That's none other than everyone's favorite, Pete Moris...so...checks out.
This dude needs minimum 5 targets a game. How could anyone see the plays against Duke and UVA and not want the ball in his hands
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that catch against UVA was the single most important play in the Fuente era so far.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seemed like after he broke that huge TD against Duke on that wheel route type play, we would run that play once per game. I think teams just had it figured out. Not sure why we rarely saw him in any other capacity, especially on third and medium/short.
pretty sure he scored on a screen he broke up the sideline
You're right that it was a screen from the Hback position. I was in the stands and just remember him running what looked like a wheel route. It slipped my mind that he caught it so early in the play.
That stuff arm is straight smoke!
the stiff of legends, one might say
I think there is a movie called "the Stiff of Legends "
Kumah working his butt off to take out 2 would be tacklers in that one.
I can't watch without saying WHAAMMMYYY on that Kumah block.
Call it the Keene screen
And yes it seemed like we ended up running it about once per game since that long TD. With more limited success however.

new to Dalton old Dalton be like
hearing Devon Hunter has been one of the MVPs of Colorado's so far. Hes busting his A to get on the field and make an impact next season.
Heard he's got that:
Really rooting for Hunter. I hope we can get him on the field in a position where he can make an impact.
Ape season?
like....

Right. That's kind of what I gathered. Thought maybe there was some deeper origin ...
nope all these kids have an animal they attach certain animal like characteristics to and use as motivation/ comparison. tre turner regularly posts wolfs on his tweets and IG and quotes with wolves and how they hunt, weve seen LeBron and many other with the lion post over the years, kobe and mamba, sharks, devon just happens to like apes/gorillas.
Hoping he picks up the defense and starts this fall.
Yeah he's had a great mindset since the redshirt. I hope he comes back a monster.
You had me freaking out. Did hunter transfer to Colorado?
I am not a smart man.gif
Itssssssooook. Boss.
Had me confused for a bit too.
sorry fellas Colorados= the name for off season work outs in hokie land. (although i wonder why they call it that)
Even though I've never been to either state..I would say that Colorado is better than Oklahoma..
Well them boys from Oklahoma roll their joints all wrong.
They're too damn skinny or way too long
They're called Colorado drills because Gary Patterson came up with and ran the same drills when he coached at Colorado. He then took them to TCU with him, the name stuck, and Fuente runs the same drills as a HC now, and I guess hasn't changed the name at Memphis or Tech.
