21...There's Only Three More Weeks!

Below is evidence of actual, real Virginia Tech football being played, well practiced, from Saturday's scrimmage. I just wanted to reassure y'all that the team is doing its part and this countdown will conclude with the playing of a game.

"3. Miami at Ohio State, Sept. 11
This game is symbolic of so much -- the last time they met, Ohio State hung on to win the national title in a huge upset. That was the Buckeyes' last victory in the title game. For the Hurricanes, that game was the beginning of a downward slide. Now, with Miami on the verge of being completely back, they meet again with Ohio State as the favorite."

I think they realized that they needed some more granularity in their Miami relevance scale.

The U

The phrase "Miami is back" is just silly and prematurely overused year in and out. Credit where it's due, Miami put itself together a dynasty back in the day. Since then the only team to come close and match what they did was USC. And by the way, they cheated. My point is that because of competitive balance and a deeper playing field, no team, Miami or otherwise will go on such a run again.

4. Boise State vs. Virginia Tech, Sept. 6 (Landover, Md.)
One-game season for the Broncos. If they beat Virginia Tech, then they keep their national title hopes alive.

Their game against Oregon State isn't going to be a cakewalk.

Anyways, going forward I'm going to post more links in the forum as discussion points.

Beat Alabama.

21

So 21 days left till the game. I am in PST zone so it is technically still 21 days as I type this. Is the number 21 going to be significant? I got my ticket in the mail today. Not sure that means anything. I am in row 21. What does all this mean? Could it be one of the team's score. Will Viriginia Tech's, sorry, I mean Vah Tech's hallowed offense only put up 21 points on the Boise St and there 78 returning starters on defense. Or will this young and untested Hokie Defense give up 21 points to Boise St and there 123 returning starters on offense. As superstitious as I am, and I am very superstitious, I think this means nothing but there is 21 days until the game and 19 days until I am in DC for it.
