Ryan Williams, Darren Evans to be evaluated for NFL draft (3) via Mark Giannotto
Hite said he met with both on Monday to discuss their future and each decided to explore their draft possibilities. He added that Evans's paperwork has already been sent out, and Williams should have his together shortly.
"Just my gut feeling, I don’t think both of them will come back," Hite said. "But there’s no real rhyme or reason behind it right now."

I think Evans is ready to go #
I think Evans is ready to go as is.
I think Williams should stay on one more year though.
Good thing Wilson is around, best of the bunch too.
Evans has a family #
I think is looking to support his family and doesn't want to risk another possible injury. I think he is also close to graduating.
I agree with Hite. #
If a player can be reasonably assured they're going to be drafted within the first two rounds then they need to declare for the draft. I think both Evans and Williams have a very good shot of going in the first two rounds, Williams being more guaranteed than Evans.
The problem is Williams is a 1st round talent, but because of a slow start and hamstring injury he wasn't able to definitely prove it. His decision revolves around how much money he's leaving on table.
From what I've read Evans will graduate in the spring, and I think his stock is as high as it can go. He had an outstanding season, and proved that he's not only a tough, but explosive runner. That makes me believe he's gone.
