Here's an excellent article from 247 about Hand's first ever college trip.

"It was a good trip," Hand said. "I loved it there. The coaching staff was amazing. They are all like father figures. I liked the training facilities and the weight room. They are adding on to the weight room. I also like the field, practice facility and the lounges. I was able to take a tour and meet some of the players. It was really cool."

The 6-foot-5, 247-pounder was able to talk with a few former Virginia Tech players while on campus.

"I talked with Tyrod Taylor and Kam Chancellor," Hand said. "They just told me to keep working hard. They said to not let the publicity get to my head. They were really cool guys. I enjoyed it."

Hand said that Virginia Tech defensive coordinator Bud Foster is recruiting him for the Hokies and the two spent a lot of time together while on campus.

"He didn't put any pressure on me," Hand said. "He just wanted me to have fun. He loves how I play. He said that I would fit in perfectly in the defensive end scheme. He said he would turn me loose and let me get to the quarterback. He is a cool guy and really funny. He is like a father figure."

Hand also sat down with Virginia Tech head coach Frank Beamer while in town.

"Coach Beamer is such a good dude," Hand said. "I was honored to meet him. He told me that I was a good player and hopes to see me soon. He told me to have fun while I was there."

The talented sophomore already holds 21 offers including Virginia Tech, Alabama, Arkansas, Clemson, Florida State, Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Penn State, South Carolina, Virginia and several others.

"I'm most likely going to visit Virginia Tech again for a one-day camp during the summer," Hand said. "I'm going to come back with one of my teammates and we are going to do the camp. I also know that I'm supposed to go to Alabama for a camp in July. Other than that, I don't know of any other visits."

Hand would be a gem in any school's 2014 class. Here's his film. He's a beast.
