The University of Miami and University of South Florida have agreed to move their 2012 game from Nov. 24 to Nov. 17, in order to accommodate the conference scheduling needs of both programs.
Basically the move happened because FSU-Florida, Wake-Vandy, Clemson-USC and Georgia Tech-Georgia all have games on November 24th, the final week of the season. Miami keeping their game against USF on the 24th would have left an odd number of ACC teams to be scheduled. Meaning one other ACC team would have to find a non-conference opponent and finish their conference season a week earlier. That's not optimal for anything but a rivalry game.
