Logan Thomas visits Harding Avenue Elementary (6) via TheBurgs

Virginia Tech quarterback Logan Thomas visited the Harding Avenue students Dec. 9.
He was serving a a mentor to one of our students who wants to become a football player. He spent over two hours visiting each classroom, taking pictures, talking with kids, reading books to our kindergarten students, etc.
Logan made a huge impression on each child and made their day very special. We are hoping he visits again soon.
Lots of off-the-field bullshit went down in college football this year. To say the least, it made the season less enjoyable for me. When I see stuff like this I smile, because it reminds me why I love the sport.

I still contend for every one #
I still contend for every story of off-the-field bs there is out there, there are at least two stories like this which go largely unnoticed (sometimes because lack of interest from a paper and others because the person doing the good deed just doesn't want the extra attention).
most people who do good deeds #
most people who do good deeds like that don't do them for the recognition. they do them because they are good people. and things like this...just don't sell when it comes to news....unfortunately.
That I may serve..
Awesome #
Love this stuff. I haven't heard much about Logan Thomas off the field, so it's great to hear that he's a stand up guy.
Oh and the kid throwing the cross-eyes in the grey and red shirt is classic.
Bad Parenting #
who let their kid go to school in a UT shirt when they knew LT was gonna be there that day?

To be fair #
in the future if by some off chance a former WVU player visits my kid's school, I would totally send him in Orange and Maroon.
