Reminder: UVA is counting down the days until they lose to us again.

what a cockey asshole...

oh shit! I lined up across from Jay Whitmire (in both football and lacrosse) when he was at TC, and I at West Potomac. He had size, but as a player i was never impressed with his athleticism or the fact that he was a complete mope.

This cant be real

DANNY COALE ALL THE WAY TO THE THREE

How can it be a "Countdown to Victory" when that's not a guarantee?

So sweet

That they post this countdown for the Hokies so we don't have to.
Loved the shirt a few years ago (but doesn't apply now) "Loosing to Tech, It Grohs on you."

More importantly...

How sad is it that Richmond is on there?

@scobeard

38-0 bro

My alma mater will beat UVA one of these days.

And when that day comes, it will be one of the best days of my life.

I never liked UVA, but I've liked them even less since the day they stole my coach. My national championship coach. My national championship coach who would still be winning FCS titles if he had stayed at UR.

Yes, I'm still bitter.

So I'd like to think that they're also counting down the days to their next loss to a FCS team.

My alma mater beat them in 2009

It was the 3rd happiest day of my life.

It was a fantastic day

Richmond beat Duke the same day IIRC.

That is correct.

24-16.
But the win (thanks to a blocked field goal in OT) against William & Mary the season before was better. I was able to go and it was a great game. It was a great season, too. I'll probably never see a season for UR football like that again in my lifetime.

Didn't they learn last time they thought they would beat VT? I hope the players see this, as if last years talk didn't motivate...

I literally have no idea why my username is VT_Warthog.

@VT_Warthog

And the Commonwealth Cup

Has been in the possession of the hokies (proudly) for 2610 days.

Take the shortest route to the ball and arrive in bad humor.

Need a clock for that

VT in possession of the Commonwealth cup for 2610 days and counting!

When I feel the need to figure it out, I always use Wolfram Alpha :P

We all know what this really is...

A countdown to futility and annihilation just like Jeff Goldblum had in "Independence Day." Oh, and the same results will occur for the University of Virginia Football team: they will be systematically destroyed on the field. 38-0, 37-7, 42-13, 17-14, 33-21, 17-0, 52-14, 24-10.... a combined 260-79 over the eight year span. That is an average of 32.5 to 9.875, a twenty three point margin of victory annually since 2004.

"Thank you and be sure to pick up your pride on the way out. Come on back in a year once you've had time to grab some rest, grub, and have somehow convinced yourselves that it will be different. We'll show you it remained the same."- Random dude who I watched the game with this year at the bar. Priceless.

I like how you carried out their average points to the thousanths...

It's a great day to be a Hokie!

Just typed what the calculator told me

Thank you. I had to be thorough in order to illustrate the degree of dominance.

well they say Football is a game of inches

Why not carry out the numbers in complete detail? haha. Good work!

Hahaha thanks. I just did what my cell phone calculator told me to do and I thought it did add some semblance of dominance to the "rivalry."

charlottesville, Virginia Facebook Page

I realize this has nothing to do with basketball, but it's somewhat related. Did everyone see what the charlottesville, Virginia Facebook page had to do yesterday?
While I was looking at their profile picture, I flipped through some others and they're infuriating! They posted a picture of a sunny fall day at uva beside a blizzard picture of Blacksburg. First of all, despite that, I chose Virginia Tech over uva anyway, so their weather means crap, but do they seriously spend all their time coming up with ways to troll Virginia Tech? Don't get me wrong, I love to rag on uva as much as the next guy (I love this post), but I don't just sit around coming up with ways to put them down all the time (mostly because things like the above picture, "All of the hoos", and "I pledge" do the work for us). There are kids in the comments talking about how easy it is to get into Virginia Tech and whatnot. Comments like, 'It's not a real rivalry because uva is never ranked, so it's not that big of a deal' are what they mutter under their breath to keep from crying themselves to sleep every night. And yet, in a game that decided who would represent the Coastal side of the division, we shut you out. At home. But uva football is back, RIGHT?! Get a life! Idk..it's random and I guess I came here to vent. I realize we in-turn are trolling them here, but it really irritated me. I'll quit my whining now.

I compare it to

beating your "retarded" little brother in cards or a foot race (think "Something about Mary" or "the Ringer.") they just don't really get it. They keep coming up with little jabs, little stupid things, more Zima etc, but just don't get the whole picture...they're just happy to be there. All the while, we're beating the snot out of them in football, basketball "just like football!!!" and even with academics.
