The 2013 #goacc Roadtrip

It's back for year three, but this time with a twist, it's #goacc style. The games this year have the comedic tag lines already written. In true #goacc style, I'm not making every non Saturday night game, I'm just not passionate enough. I will make every school's stadium once, well except for Maryland, because that's how Tobacco Road would want me to handle bidness. Sorry, East Carolina, you were denied three times in the making my game of the week. We aren't that #goacc yet. Anyways, let's cut to chase, here are the games with some beer and food stops added in.

The Best BBQ anywhere

Week 1
UNC at Souf Cacklacki (Th)

• Getting put in our place by the southern brethren to start the seaon, cause we all like to hear the ESS SEE CEE chant by 80,000 drunks for 3 hours.
• Stopping by Wilber's BBQ in Goldsboro NC, which is the finest Eastern NC style BBQ on the planet

VT vs Bama

• Because why taking one beating, when you can have two?
• Atlanta has plenty of great beer bars, none have been around as long as the Brick Store Pub. The beer, food and decor are peerless

Week 2
Oregon at uva

• Being rung up for 70 by team from another conference, gives us the respect our conference deserves. The dejected former cop press conference will be the best as he'll say it's humbling and how far they have to go, but they're still young or something like that.
• First of many passes through Lexington and I'll stop at the mecca, Lexington Barbeque #1, my favorite style off BBQ with red slaw please
• Blue Mountain Barrel House is an off shoot of the popular Va brewery, up the road from Lynchburg towards Charlottesville

Week 3
Md at UConn

• So many juicy subplots. Randy Edsall returns to his old job, that spurned in the dark of the night. Then there is how UConn desparately begged to be the school to replace Maryland in the ACC. No dice. Oh, and there will be a borderline unwatchable football game too. I am certain they both belong in our football league.
• Swing by New England Brewing Co and pickup some Ghandi-Bot Double IPA, it's worthy of the chase
• My sister's house somewhere in the middle of Connecticut, for a home cooked meal

Week 4
Tulane at Cuse

• We know all good and well the Orange are going to spit the bit on this and lose in fine style to this Sunbeast school. This really will do a great job of marrying the two conferences together, by traditions, here we mate for life.
• Ommegang brewery does excellent Belgian style beers
• Lupos S&S Char Pit serves up Spiedies, grilled meats after marinating overnight upstate New York style. I'm sure, they are tasty as hell

Week 5
VPI at GiT (Th)

• Cue 70% full stadium on ESPN primetime, with shots of students studying and the tv crew pimping the SEC on ESPN game of the week, aTm at Arkansas. Remember, we always must know who our daddy is.
• The Fred Bar, a "secret" bar under the Prado Taco Mac location, has all kinds of beer goodies

Troy at Duke

• Who, other than the hoos, dont like seeing Duke football win games? Heres my chance, I think. Gonna have to see this live though, even ESPN3 has standards to upkeep.
• Once in Durham, Full Steam brewery is a must, if you haven't been

Week 6
GT at Miami

• Too good a matchup but I am going for the gameday atmosphere. I'm going to join the thousands and thousands (2k sounds right?) of canes fans and watch this. John Swofford's great ACC football power is going to look awesome on your very regional abc 3:30 broadcast, but expect lots of tight crowd shots and the same four fans on tv.
• A slight detour to Dye's Gullah Fixin's in Hilton head for a Low Country Boil
• Passing through Jacksonville, means a road soda or two at Bold City Brewery, an up and coming Florida Brewery

Week 7
Pitt at VT

• Like the Cuse game above, I'm taking the Big East tradition and making it fit the ACC, VT plays like ass vs Panthers and questions will descend upon Bud Foster about whether his defense has been figured out, like clockwork.
• Bats BBQ in South Hill, NC for some pork tacos
• Triple C Brewing in Charlotte, one of the owners is a Hokie Alum support!

Week 8
Miami at UNC (Th)

• The best will be the fans leaving early to go get in line for the Dean Dome, followed by UM players thinking what an amazing atmosphere Keenan has. To this point in the season, the UM backness will be on full ESPN blast. I think we all know how this ends for them for them.
• Just walk the streets of Chapel Hill and marvel at all the fine talent

FSU at Clemson

• A great matchup, how is this goacc? Well, one team will automatically become known as pretender, the other will dream of the BCS title game (which too all but them will be foolish.) Also, there is a 100% chance FSU fans will bitch about officiating and the ACC is out to get them, whether they win or lose. That's always fun.
• I almost wanted Duke at uva here, as I told you like watching Duke football win games.
• Once near Clemson, hit Sweatmans BBQ in Holy Hill, SC for MOAR PORK

Week 9
NC State at FSU

• This is how it works in our conference, the noles win in Death Valley, only to lose vs the Wolfpack again
• Driving through Atlanta, I'd stop at the Porter Bar for a drink or 3, another ATL world class bar

Week 10
Unc at NC State

• Nothing says #goacc than a game on Tobacco Road. It is cute seeing the hate and vitirol from these two fan bases, before and after they play.
• The Pit, my one stop place for good beers and smoked pork

Week 11
Notre Dame at Pitt

• This doesn't feel Mid Atlantic to you? Welcome to the new #goacc, this is the present and future and the disease is sweeping the midwest now.
• Pittsburgh gives me Fatheads for some Head Hunter IPA and Primanti Brothers for gut busting sammiches

Week 12
GT at Clemson (Th)

• Thursday night games are sorta rigged for the home team, so Clemson has to win this right? Still a strong chance we get to see Paul Johnson smile after tuning you up with his gimmicky offense dot gif come from this matchup.
• A little out of your way, but go thru Asheville, NC and stop at Wicked Weed Brewing it's the best brewpub I've been to

NC State at BC

• Be a baller vs be a dude game of the century at noon, on Raycom. Plenty of good seats will be available if you want to walk up.
• No Sleep to Boston, so it's all fast food, but at least one will be a Cook Out

Week 13
Duke at Wake Forest

• Do I really need to explain this?
• Foothills Brewing for some Jade IPA and church, I need forgiving, a lot of forgiving

Week 14
FSU at Florida

• Getting put in our place by the southern brethren to end the seaon, cause we all like to hear the ESS SEE CEE chant by 80,000 drunks for 3 hours. *Sub Clemson at Souf Cacklacki if you'd like, makes no difference.
• The Florida Man in all of us says, stop at Walmart, buy jeans to make into jorts and get a case of Bud Heavy and a styrofoam cooler.

Week 15
ACCCG

• I'll be tailgaiting in Charlotte watching the SEC CG, I might go to the game or Felder's pad if it's too cold out and watch House Hunters and have High Lifes.
• The NODA district, breweries, places to eat, a filipino elvis impersonator what's not like?
