UVA's OC to the Eagles

This is according to Bruce Feldman (http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/blog/bruce-feldman/21622095/uva...)

Bill Lazor is leaving his job as Virginia's offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach to join Chip Kelly's staff with the Philadelphia Eagles, a source told CBS Tuesday morning

If I remembered correctly, he flirted with Rutgers last season. That's a lot of turnover on Mike London's staff. I wonder if he will promote Tom O'Brien, or look outside the program...

Comments

I hear Mike O'Cain is available.

Recruit

Eight days before Signing Day. Glorious. Just let TOB call the plays haha

@Fightin_Gobbler

Go Hokies

Go Falcons

Trying to best the ACC in staff turnover.

It's all about The VPISU
VT '10, Born & Raised in the 804. Also go Keydets, Army Black Knights, NY Giants, NY Rangers, and ATL Braves.

I know someone who is available.

I fail.

Someone fill me in in this please...

I have no idea why my username is VT_Warthog.

Ron Prince

former UVA offensive coordinator, then Kansas State coach (succeded Bill Snyder version 1.0 in 2006), fired in 2008 after running the program into the ground. After bouncing around (including a one year stint as UVA special teams coach), he was most recently canned by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

I'm definitely not clicking that link. There isn't enough security software in the world for me to feel safe wading into the underbelly of sports sites. I have no doubts that my computer would attempt to self destruct rather than see the phrase #newhoos used in a non-joking manner.

I was about to say lets go after some of their WR recruits...but none of them have offers from us.

Too bad.

He stinks and he was overpaid. They might now find someone who doesn't stink.

(Tom O'Brien sliding over to OC?)

Maybe Chip is hiring Lazor for his previous NFL experience, in which he has coached under some of the best HC (6 SB championships amongst them). But, if there were ever two contrasting offensive styles, it would definitely be Chip Kelly and Bill Lazor. I guess Lazor will provide NFL-style QB coaching that Chip probably lacked at Oregon. Nevertheless, weird hire for Chip.

Mizzell?

Anybody know if this will affect his decision?

I can't imagine he was going to UVA...

...to play for Bill Lazor.

Touche

Just wasn't sure who actually recruited him. Their whole coaching staff is falling apart though, so I didn't know if there had been any word. Signing Day is right around the corner.

His 7 on 7 coaches

have already sold him to UVA.

I thought
