Good article from Doug Doughty from The Roanoke Times on BJ Farrow, an under-the-radar WR recruit from Lynchburg Christian Academy (same as Demetri Knowles). He'll be at VT's camp this weekend, and LCA's Coach Rocco is raving about him as the "best WR he's coached in 10 years".
Yes, Coach Rocco is Mike Rocco's dad, and had some interesting insight on the Phillips Sims transferring to UVA / WTF QB Rotation / Mike Rocco transferring out of UVA / Phillip Sims leaving UVA fiasco.
I COULDNT PASS up the opportunity to get Frank Roccos take on developments with Sims. If Sims had never transferred from Alabama to UVa, or if the Roccos had known in December that Sims would not be back, how might things have been different? We talk about that, Frank Rocco said. People were talking about dysfunction at UVa but nobody really wanted to qualify it. Then, you get a Clifton Richardson leaving and your two quarterbacks leaving. Its a shame. There are a lot of good kids [at UVa] and good people there. I wish them the best, but theres so much more to football than just 5-stars from the beach area.
