Welcome to year four of the Six Pick on TKP. I select (usually) the six best games of the weekend, with an occasional slight bias to VT and ACC games. I pick, usually poorly against the spread and invite you to do the same. This week there is no reason or need for hype, it's time to lace 'em up. Enjoy the games.

Thursday, August 28th
Texas A&M at South Carolina -10.5

- Thursday night before Labor day is Sakerlina football. Life is good. Respect the legend
- Giddy at watching aTm this year, this will tell us a lot about Sumlin's future
Pick: Sakerlina laying the points. It's gonna take aTm a game or 2 to get up to speed. Mike Slive/ESPN did the SECNetwork a solid, but not Sumlin.

Alabama -24.5 vs West Virginia (Atlanta)
3:30 pm ABC / ESPN2
- Can't decide what's worse for Alabama Lane Kiffin as OC or them dealing with neer fans
- Confession, if Holgo wasn't a neer, I'd like him, even with his don't believe in Defense approach
Pick: The neers getting the points. I think, they'll be better this season and Alabama will need a few games to get going or fire Kiffin.

- Best possible Dabo Interview outcome, Clemson getting crushed at halftime, then storms back for a win
- I'd be lying if I told you I have any clue how good either team is going to be ... tie goes to Gurley
Pick: Clemson getting the points, but this game feels like a toss up, since each team has had to do a major reload.

- Complacency, unpreparedness and lack of focus are the Noles enemies this season, not the teams on the schedule
- B12 defense, that's all you need to know about Okie State
Pick: FSU laying the points, FSU wins easily without Winston, having the best player in college, well, that's an ass-whooping waiting to happen.

Top Five tailgating schools matchup, even the loser, wins
- Will it be this year or next, Wisconsin opts for a lil more spread and less power offense? It's coming
- I like LSU, but I'm hoping for a L. Just so the guys from College Football Extreme Podcast will lose their shit
Pick:The Bayou Bengals and the points. I like Wisconsin a lot ... for a B1G team, but I don't see the Badgers having enough athletes to keep it within a touchdown.

Miami at Louisville -3.5

- Can I put to the rest Miami "We're back" joke or do we still have some miles left on it?
- 11:30 Monday night, either Golden or Petrino is going to have a sour look on his face. That makes me smile already
Pick: Louisville winning and covering in their inaugural ACC tilt.

Beer of the Week:
Terrapin Hi-5
This was my pool beer for the summer. A tasty ipa that comes in a about 6% abv and full of citrus flavor. Good for drinking a sixer and not getting too banged up.
