With that, this weekend is looking like a huge recruiting weekend. The following are scheduled to take official visits this weekend:
Darrell Taylor (We all know the story here. VT was considered the team to beat, but Butch Jones and Tennessee managed to secure his commitment in the days before his decision. Defensive End is obviously a huge need in this class. Can we flip him like we did Austin Clark and Darius Fulwood?
Shelton Johnson (6'5 220 lbs DE from the same high school at Dadi Nicholas and Luther Maddy. Offers from all the Florida schools. Thought to be a FSU lean, but they may not have the room for him anymore. This high school has been very good with us - Luther and Dadi have proven that kids coming out of this town can ball.
Kenny Thomas (6'6 330 lbs OT from Alabama. This kid is high on my wish list. I think Kenny Thomas, Austin Clark, Mike Arnold, D'Andre Plantin, and Tyrel Smith would be an exception offensive line haul and would compliment the interior offensive linemen we brought in last year.
Anyone know anything about Isaiah Prince? I know it's a long shot, but I think Searles is still hard after him.
Shareef Miller? DE from Philly? I think we were in contact with him at some point. Obviously a position of need.
With signing day less then 2 months away, hopefully we can close on these kids.
