This is a worthwhile story on the unofficial recruitment of younger players and the business of unofficial visits. Jeremy Fowler of CBS Sports did a great job uncovering all of this and speaking to coaches. It's clear that some are more in favor than others, which is what makes it a big gray area, like Fowler talks about.
One note, Coach Beamer and staff don't hire outside coaches to run/coach at their camps. You'll have to decide if that's good or bad. I for one think that it is for the better: why bring 500 kids to campus for your camp when you know you won't be able to see them all perform?
