Just delivered this one to the Triangle Chapter of the Virginia Tech Alumni Assoc. in Durham prior to the Duke game. They will be using this for one of the items in their annual auction and wanted it on display before the game to start drumming up interest. Figure is a McFarlane 2-pack Joe Greene with Reggie White facemask, McNair right arm with Greene hand transplant and sculpted wrist tape/elbow pad.
I got some really good feedback on this one including Kevin Jones, who was in attendance and really liked the piece. Having already done one of these for Lee Suggs, I think it would be cool to do a KJ to complete the "Untouchables" set. Unfortunately, with the wife & kiddos in no hurry to get up that morning then getting lost on the Duke campus, I wasn't able to get to the tailgate prior to the game and was barely able to get there in time to pick up my tickets.
Alum07 can give more info as far as reactions as I was just filled in by him. My plan was to get there early enough to try to get a pic with Whit and the Bruce piece.
OT - My son, Tyler, is now 2-0 when attending VT away games versus ranked opponents (Duke, anOSU)...I think we may be onto something.
