There has been considerable talk about possible successors, with former North Carolina and Texas coach Mack Brown the object of growing speculation, but its unclear how much — if anything — has been done to this point.
I don't know how to feel about this. On one hand, Mack was able to win with a talented roster (not Texas-sized, but Virginia will have a lot of good players on its two-deep next season). On the other hand, he torpedoed a Texas program that has every advantage in college football. At first I was like, "LOLMACKBROWN", but he might be the right coach to stabilize and make UVa respectable. Also intriguing, it's been previously reported Mack's good friends with Frank Beamer.
