Miami/UVA Tickets

Bought a mini-plan for this season (thanks fall weddings) with UVA as the option. So when Miami went on sale this morning I decided to pick up four tickets for my wife and two of our friends.

Couple of things I noticed - VT has a long way to go to sell out season tickets if the mini-plans were sold out and these many seats were available, at least IMO. I got four in the lower section of 31 (about the 50). My mini plan tickets are about 30 rows higher in 33.

Of more interest/importance though, is the fact that Whit has raised the ticket prices for Miami and UVA to $60. That I do not mind seeing at all. While I think driving up the ticket prices too much will hurt the attendance - 10 dollars more is nothing compared to what UVA, Ohio State, even ECU charges when we come to town. Ohio State charged $116 a ticket for the VT game and with 100k seats, that is a lot of money generated.

What do you all think? Good or bad idea on the ticket prices?

Hope anyone that got the mini-plan and didn't get Miami tickets gets them today!
