After two consecutive losses, a handful of Hokie fans are beginning to question Brewers decision making and ability to lead the team to an ACC title. Some of the fans have suggested that redshirt sophomore Brenden Motley be giving a chance to lead the team.
Despite the fact that he is a junior, this is Brewers first year starting for a college team. He needs more time to get comfortable in the offense. He only had one off-season with team. He has made questionable decision under pressure, but he is the first one to admit he should have done better. Offensive line protection has not been great. When he has time to throw the ball, he has been very accurate. As a first time starter of a college program, Michael Brewer needs time to grow within offense and establish better timing with the skill players.
