"BeamerBall" by Carlton Powell

Carlton Powell recently took a new position working for FanDuel and posted this article about "BeamerBall." It's an interesting look at the guts behind the speacial teams and how. Not sure it yeilds any new information about how much special teams play meant to Beamer, but it's a great chance to hear the voice of a former player to decipher some of the strategy. Link to the article is here, and below.

However, BeamerBall was more than just a well-oiled, finely tuned special teams unit. It was an attitude. Over decades, players stepped out onto that field with a purpose; a common goal to be their very best self every single play. Although Coach Beamer may have retired from his long-held post, the legacy of BeamerBall will live on forever.
