TKP Fantasy Football - Week 8

ACTUAL RECAP THIS WEEK. BOOM!

Sorry for skipping the recap last week. I just couldn't bring myself to write about Daniballs being first in the league. Now that I've had a week to mourn, I'm over it.

It was a tough week for injuries, but no matter how bad you think you have it, I bet my roommate had it worse in one of my leagues: Le'Veon Bell, Keenan Allen, Joseph Randle, and Reggie Bush (in a 12 team league where the best RB on the waiver wire was probably Marcell Reece...and he also drafted Dez and Desean Jackson). Sorry, I just wanted everyone to join in LOLing with me.

We no longer have any undefeated teams, as Coale Drogo took down Enter Sandman in the Danny Coale Conference this week in a crazy game, 144.4-143.7. One more point out of Cam Newton, Frank Gore, or the Panthers' D on Monday Night would have sent Enter Sandman to 8-0.

On the other end of the spectrum, the Real Diehls of the Frank Beamer Conference are now 0-8. Diehl, it's time to change your handle to Mike London.

Shoutout to the Fuller Conference, where all 12 teams are within 3 games of each other and within 1 game of a playoff spot. Gonna be a crazy finish there, stuffing 12 teams into 4 playoff spots.

Here's the link to the power rankings spreadsheet (filterable by league).

An explanation of rankings:
Overall Rank: Average rank of the four ranks below (from 1-10/12, depending on your league size, with 1 being the best).
Power Rating Rank: Rank of the Power Rating, a weighted ranking stat that I found on the internet dot com. It is comprised of a team's total points (60%), average points (20%), max points (10%) and min points (10%).
Standings Rank: Rank of the team's W-L record
Weekly Breakdown Rank: Rank of the average Weekly Breakdown; the Weekly Breakdown is a stat that ranks how many points a team scored in each week compared to the rest of their league.
Total Points Scored Rank: Rank of a team's total points scored over the span of the season

With that explanation out of the way, here are the top 10 teams in TKP Fantasy through eight weeks. 9 of the 10 teams are the same as they were in week 6, with Pastor of Muppets moving from unranked to 9th, and Taste the DwayneBowe dropping from 9th to NR (they're 11th now, FWIW).

  1. Enter Sandman (Danny Coale Conference, Overall Rank: 1.50, last week #1)
  2. Party Like A Gronk Star (Sam Rogers Conference, Overall Rank: 1.59, last week 3)
  3. Team Koma (Frank Beamer Conference, Overall Rank: 1.63, last week #2)
  4. Kuhn on the Cobb (Bud Foster Conference, Overall Rank: 1.94, last week #4)
  5. Catticus' Finches (Vincent and Nina Fuller Conference, Overall Rank: 2.19, last week #5)
  6. Team Daniballsdeep (Frank Beamer Conference, Overall Rank: 2.41, last week #7)
  7. Tobacco Road Infiltrators (Danny Coale Conference, Overall Rank: 2.66, last week #8)
  8. Team Needs a Name (Bud Foster Conference, Overall Rank: 2.84, last week #6)
  9. Pastor of Muppets (Vincent and Nina Fuller Conference, Overall Rank: 3.16, last week NR)
  10. To Hover is Divine (Vincent and Nina Fuller Conference, Overall Rank: 3.38, last week #10)

Time to talk some trash, people!
