Holston's mom made the trip with him, and many recruitniks thought the Hokies, the leaders in his recruitment, might earn his commitment on the trip. Intrigue rose when Holston reached out to blue-chip safety Devon Hunter, another top Hokies target in the 2017 class.

Even though Holston did not announce a verbal commitment, he and his mom enjoyed the trip.
"She loved everything," Holston texted The Key Play. "She told Coach Fuente she would feel good if I played for VT. Whatever decision I make she supports it."
Holston does not have any more visits on deck. He does not have a set decision date.
