I sent this email to TKPC members today:
french60wasp's Arkansas preview was published as exclusive content for The Key Players Club. Throughout 2016 I've made no bones about the growth of TKPC being vital to The Key Play remaining online and publishing top-rate Virginia Tech coverage. TKP launched in March of 2010, and this is the first time an article hasn't been available to everyone on the internet. This is a pivot on how TKP has operated since its inception and I know there will be friction and questions. However, due to the slow growth of TKPC (376 members to 55,000 unique people reading each month, 0.68%) and feedback received throughout the year, I believe exclusive content from time-to-time is necessary for TKPC to hit its initial goal of 1,000 members.
Thank you all for your financial support of The Key Play! And I hope TKP continues to earn your trust and support moving forward.

For non-TKPC members, as of right now the plan is for exclusive content being a once-in-a-while occurrence. For those of you who were unable to read French's Arkansas preview, I thought the updated message communicated that properly. Apologies if it did not. I was not trying to be "passive" with the approach. Given the updated messaging, and all the meta and TKPC threads throughout the year (two of which were emailed to all registered TKP users), I didn't think this would come as such a shock.
The feedback to distinguish exclusive TKPC content is solid. However, I haven't had the time to design or implement a solution (part of the larger issue at hand).
