TKP Fantasy Football - We have a champion!

Greetings beautiful people!

I apologize for killing any excitement over the Battle Royale 5 team playoff - I was travelling to/from Shreveport during week 16 and getting engaged during week 17, so I didn't exactly have a chance to post lineups/scores.

Here's how our five conference champs fared over the two week playoff (week 16 was regular ESPN scoring and week 17 was PPR scoring):

Dude You're Getting Odell: 179.10
Weeks 16 and 17 were not kind to Dude You're Getting Odell, as OBJ was suspended for week 16, DeAngelo Williams got injured in the second quarter of the game in week 17, and Carson Palmer was pulled early from his game in week 17. Zach Ertz was a great start in week 17, but unfortunately for Dude You're Getting Odell, there just weren't enough top performers to keep pace with the other four teams.

Week 16: 98.30
QB: Carson Palmer 16.60
RB1: DeAngelo Williams 27.30
RB2: Lamar Miller 12.70
WR1: Eric Decker 10.70
WR2: Michael Floyd 11.10
TE: Will Tye 2.80
FLEX: Markus Wheaton 4.10
DEF: Bengals 4.00
K: Stephen Gostkowski 9.00

Week 17: 80.80
QB: Carson Palmer 7.20
RB1: DeAngelo Williams 4.10
RB2: Lamar Miller 7.30
WR1: Eric Decker 16.0
WR2: Odell Beckham, Jr. 10.40
TE: Zach Ertz 24.20
FLEX: Michael Floyd 2.60
DEF: Bengals 6.00
K: Stephen Gostkowski 3.00

Enter Sandman: 223.08
Enter Sandman's troop of Panthers did not fare well in Week 16, which kept them from winning the league using their excellent week 17. Their three star WR combined for 32.0 points in week 16, and almost doubled it with a combined 63.2 in week 17. There aren't really any bad performances to blame, but the lack of any big scoring games in week 16 kept them from getting the crown.

Week 16: 78.98
QB: Cam Newton 14.28
RB1: Cameron Artis-Payne 5.60
RB2: Doug Martin 7.50
WR1: Demaryius Thomas 5.90
WR2: Deandre Hopkins 17.70
TE: Rob Gronkowski 8.60
FLEX: Sammy Watkins 8.40
DEF: Panthers 3.00
K: Graham Gano 8.00

Week 17: 144.10
QB: Cam Newton 32.70
RB1: Frank Gore 7.60
RB2: Doug Martin 17.80
WR1: Demaryius Thomas 22.70
WR2: Deandre Hopkins 15.90
TE: Rob Gronkowski 3.80
FLEX: Sammy Watkins 24.60
DEF: Panthers 10.00
K: Graham Gano 9.00

CHIP CHIP CHIPadelphia: 229.30
Oh, what could have been. CHIP CHIP CHIPadelphia's kickers totaled an impressive combined -1.0 points over the two week span. No other team's kickers tallied fewer than 9.0 combined points over the two weeks. Had they gotten that 10 point swing, they would have won the league. Week 17 was pretty sweet, though, with great games from their Big Bens (Roethlisberger and Watson), Run DMC, Antonio Brown, and Brandon Marshall.

Week 16: 75.40
QB: Ben Roethlisberger 4.60
RB1: Darren McFadden 9.80
RB2: Denard Robinson 7.10
WR1: Antonio Brown 6.10
WR2: Doug Baldwin 17.80
TE: Ben Watson 0.50
FLEX: Brandon Marshall 23.50
DEF: Chiefs 6.00
K: Mason Crosby 0.00

Week 17: 153.90
QB: Ben Roethlisberger 23.80
RB1: Darren McFadden 17.50
RB2: James White 8.80
WR1: Antonio Brown 35.70
WR2: Doug Baldwin 9.60
TE: Ben Watson 17.90
FLEX: Brandon Marshall 26.60
DEF: Chiefs 15.0
K: Chandler Catanzaro -1.00

Vindictive Blitzes: 236.58
A lack of star performances in week 16 led to the ultimate demise of the Vindictive Blitzes, as their excellent week 17 fell just 1.98 points short of the championship. There were no zero or negative point duds in week 16, but only Doug Baldwin and Jordan Matthews eclipsed the 15 point plateau. Week 17 was pretty much the opposite, with five 15+ point performances and only three sub-10 pointers. Missing OBJ in week 16 could have been the difference, as he would have needed just 8.60 points, a total he eclipsed in 11 of his 15 games this season.

Week 16: 89.18
QB: Cam Newton 14.28
RB1: Matt Forte 7.70
RB2: Chris Ivory 4.20
WR1: Doug Baldwin 17.80
WR2: James Jones 6.60
TE: Zach Ertz 10.20
FLEX: Jordan Matthews 16.40
DEF: Chiefs 6.00
K: Cairo Santos 6.00

Week 17: 147.40
QB: Cam Newton 32.70
RB1: Matt Forte 20.0
RB2: Chris Ivory 8.10
WR1: Doug Baldwin 9.60
WR2: Odell Beckham, Jr. 10.40
TE: Zach Ertz 24.20
FLEX: Jordan Matthews 24.40
DEF: Chiefs 15.0
K: Cairo Santos 3.00

And without further ado, our winner!
To Hover is Divine: 238.56
Congrats to our champ, who outscored the rest of the league by almost 30 points in week 16, allowing them to come out on top even without an amazing week 17. Only three players in the lineup failed to score 15 or more points in week 16, with Blair Walsh stealing the show with an impressive 23 (TIL kickers count). Week 17 was not quite as nice, but nobody scored less than 7.6 points, so it was good enough to win the league. Congrats, your shirt will be ordered shortly!

Week 16: 127.46
QB: Derek Carr 15.16
RB1: Latavius Murray 17.70
RB2: David Johnson 18.70
WR1: Deandre Hopkins 17.70
WR2: Kamar Aiken 6.60
TE: Antonio Gates 1.10
FLEX: Frank Gore 21.50
DEF: Chiefs 6.00
K: Blair Walsh 23.0

Week 17: 111.10
QB: Derek Carr 11.0
RB1: Latavius Murray 9.60
RB2: David Johnson 8.90
WR1: Deandre Hopkins 15.90
WR2: Demaryius Thomas 22.70
TE: Antonio Gates 12.40
FLEX: Frank Gore 7.60
DEF: Chiefs 15.0
K: Blair Walsh 8.00
