Hokies in the NBA

Most every team has finalized their rosters for the opening tip this coming Tuesday (Oct 25th) so here's an update on what's up with our guys:

Jarrell Eddie was cut by the Washington Wizards. It's possible another team could claim him off waivers but the way he played in preseason (not that good), it looks like he'll be going back to the D League. Personally, I thought he played pretty well in limited minutes as a reserve for DC in the 2nd half of last year, but he just wasn't able to keep it up over the summer and into the preseason.

Malcolm Delaney makes the Atlanta Hawks. Not that big a surprise considering he was given guaranteed money when he signed his deal back in the summer. He'll be the backup PG for the Hawks and should get plenty of run. He's looked very good in the preseason. I can't wait to see him shock people this upcoming season who may have forgotten just how talented this dude is.

Erick Green is in Europe playing for Olympiacos Piraeus. After a couple of seasons bouncing back and forth the NBA and the D-league, Green signed with Olympiacos over the summer. Hopefully he can polish up his game just like Delaney did and get a crack at the NBA again down the road.
