Happy Blake Dechristopher Day!

29 years ago the world was blessed with a 311 lb, 6'5", very hairy, baby boy. The scene was almost directly from the bible.

The first to come out was red, and his whole body was like a hairy garment; so they named him (Blake).

Blake was a stellar player in High School and as a 4 star, received offers from Maryland, NC State, Ohio State, LOLUVa, and West Virginia (Thank god he didn't think about those last two, amiright?). He signed with Frank Beamer and the Hokies in the end.

In his time at Tech he appeared in 52 of 54 possible games and started all 28 games in his last two years, finally ending it in the sugar bowl. (ITWASACATCH). As a senior in 2011, Blake earned All-ACC team honors and was the first (and only Hokie) to win the Jacobs Blocking Award.

Growing up, Blake was by far my favorite player and I loved to see all those beautiful pancakes on the field and hairy locks on the sideline. I believe all of our feelings toward him can be represented in this video

Happy Dechristopher Day Everyone! Party Hard!
