Big Week for Justin Bibbs: Portsmouth Invitational

Bibbs will be competing in the Portsmouth Invitational in Portsmouth, VA against other players hoping to get drafted in the upcoming NBA draft. The tweet above is just the players participating from the ACC. There are top players from all the major conferences coming to this event. The event starts on the 11th and the entire event will be streamed live by www.netcastsports.com . This will give Bibbs another opportunity to perform in front of NBA scouts as well as scouts from many global teams in the event the NBA doesn't call.

This was the summary on Bibbs from one pre event article.

Justin Bibbs — Virginia Tech

NBA teams simply can't have enough three-point shooting options; this movement could be the key to Bibbs possibly carving out pro career.

Playing in Virginia Tech's four-out system, nearly 66 percent of Bibbs' field goal attempts in the half-court this season were jump shots, per Synergy. The southpaw, who has a quick release, was 67-of-165 (40.6 FG%) on jumpers this season (57 eFG%) — 1.14 points per possession. That ranks No. 8 amongst ACC player that attempted at least 100 jumpers this season, according to Synergy.

Here's hoping he does really well and impresses just the right scout.

Bibbs will be playing on Team 1 alongside Thomas Welsh, C, UCLA; Justin Tillman, F, VCU; Kyle Washington, F, Cincinnati; Peyton Aldridge, F, Davidson; Marcus Foster, G, Creighton; Brandon Goodwin, G, Florida Gulf Coast; Manu Lecomte, G, Baylor

First Game is 7PM on the 11th.
After that it depends on how they do.
