OT: College Football Podcasts

I know there are a fair amount of podcast listeners on TKP, so I decided to put together a list of my favorite college football podcasts, and some of my favorite episodes. I've discovered some new ones recently, so I felt like sharing. Feel free to share any other favorite shows or episodes.

The Audible
Hosted By: Bruce Feldman and Stewart Mandell
What It's All About: The Audible really focuses on national stories (heavy emphasis on conference favorites, USC, Texas, ND, etc). It's a great podcast for keeping up with the 'big picture' of college football. You won't hear much about VT because, let's face it, we haven't been nationally relevant in some time, but it is a good way during the season to keep a pulse on the big stories. During the off season, they have pretty good guests and talk a bit of 'inside baseball' (Bruce/Stu discussing the industry, sources, etc).
Listen to This:
In their most recent episode, Bruce/Stu discuss what the ESPN layoffs mean for the sports journalism industry.
Bonus:
Here's an interview with Buzz Williams. It's a year or so old, but it's classic Buzz.

Campus Rush
Hosted By: Andy Staples and Lindsey Shnell
What It's All About: I just started listening to Campus Rush this off-season, so I'm not sure what their content is like during the season, but from the episodes I've listened to, it's clear that they are making an effort to report on different things; interviewing FSU's sports psychologist, former mascots, strength coaches, former players, and others.
Listen to This: Andy and Lindsey interview Brenda Tracy, a woman who was sexual assaulted by Oregon State football players while in college. Now a professional speaker, Brenda travels from school to school, sharing her story with college football and basketball teams across the country (this is a great, but tough listen).
Bonus:
I really enjoyed their episodes interviewing a sports psychologist, and discussing strength training coaches in college football.

Podcast Ain't Play Nobody
Hosted By: Steven Godfrey and Bill Connolly
What It's All About: As Steven Godfrey says (at some point) every episode "Podcast Ain't Played Nobody is a marriage of words and numbers. He is Bill Connolly, creator of S&P+ analytics and I am Steven Godfrey, writer at SB Nation." If The Audible is about the big picture of college football, PANP is all about the details. This off season, they have devoted time to discuss Bill Connolly's review for EVERY college football team, starting with the G5, and moving toward the P5.
Listen to This: Bill and Godfrey discuss how Georgia Southern's moved into DI FBS despite existing just over 25 years..
Bonus: The Ole Miss scandal, and the risk management of cheating in college football.

Shutdown Fullcast
Hosted By: Spencer Hall (EDSBS), Ryan Nani (Celebrity Hottub) and Jason Kirk
What It's All About: A humorous, sarcastic, but often realistic look at all things college football, with frequent trolling of fans, coaches and players.
Listen to This: ACC BUTT rankings from week 12 of the 2017 season (starts at 27 minutes, VT BUTT discussion at ~30min)
Bonus: In the 2015/16 bowl season, they discussed each bowl game with Holly Anderson, who had no idea who what team was playing in any bowl games. Listen to Holly guess who is playing in the 2015 Independence Bowl.

The Solid Verbal
Hosted By: Ty Hildenbrandt and Dan Rubenstein
What It's All About: If The Audible is about the big picture of college sports, and PANP is about the details, this podcast is right in the middle. This is my go-to, in season, weekly recap podcast. They spend about half of each podcast discussing the 3-5 most anticipated games each week, and then they discuss the remainder of the games, and what they mean for each conference.
Listen to This: It's a little off-brand for them, but in a recent episode, Dan and Ty interview other journalist to learn how schools hire coaches. Definitely not their average podcast, but I really enjoyed this one.
Bonus: This Is It - a game where Ty and Dan talk about college football headlines and how likely they are to pan out. This episode is much more 'on brand' for The Solid Verbal.
