I am no Lt Peterson; but I did tabulate some data from Alabama's first three games. I have not watched film; so these comments are based on the stats and are at best guesses. Anyone is welcome to correct any mistakes.

They are not a 3pt shooting team. Starters made 27 attempts in 3 games; subs only 6.

They are a relatively tall team: only 1 starter under 6 foot and only one sub under 6 foot. The ladies need to make their shots because there won't be many offensive rebounds. They will need to get position and block out on defense to keep Alabama off the boards. Looks like Bama is mostly an inside team; the ladies are going to have to work hard to deny the ball to Willaims and Cook especially. The FG percentage indicates a lot of layups. The other scorer of the starters is Lewis, who plays a lot of minutes and gets a lot of assists. I am guessing that she drives and dishes a lot.

The subs don't score a lot; but all of their scoring is from inside the arc. Only one 3 pt shot made from the group in three games..

This could be a tough game for VT if we can't make some shots from outside. I don't see us having a lot of success inside against Bama's height. Magarity and Berry are going to have to play well to hold their own in this game. We can win this one; Georgia Tech was leading until the very end when they went cold.

Let Go!
