Frank Beamer to receive 2019 Bear Bryant Lifetime Achievement Award

Everyone's favorite coach continues to be awarded for his time at VT.

Past recipients of the lifetime achievement award include Steve Spurrier (2018), Barry Alvarez (2017), Mack Brown (2016) and Jimmy Johnson (2015).

Every year the "Bear" Bryant Awards recognize the nation's best collegiate coaches. The organization also presents an annual coach of the year award as voted on by the National Sports Media Association.

The Paul "Bear" Bryant College Football Coaching Awards is an exclusive event that honors a college football coach whose great accomplishments, both on and off the field, are legendary. The award recognizes the masters of coaching and allows them to take their deserved place in history beside other legends like Bear Bryant.

I can't think of a more deserving coach.

How fortunate we are as VT fans to have had one of the classiest coaches of all time, followed by a successor who seems to value the same high standards that have been the norm in Blacksburg for decades.
