Commas might help. I can't tell if this a bunch of 90's bands or several band mash ups.

Should be an awesome show either way.

My bad

When in doubt. Nap it out

Haha... APrimus does a fantastic job of keeping us up to date, but these posts without commas have me like...

Is it basketball season yet?

Fixed it

When in doubt. Nap it out

I really wan't trying to bust your balls about it. I do appreciate you keeping us up to date on things.

Is it basketball season yet?

Nah its fine I agree with you so I fixed it

When in doubt. Nap it out

Pretty solid line up every day.

Danny Coale Caught That Ball!!!

Tbh the only day I like on here would be Friday

When in doubt. Nap it out

I could definitely make a day of Saturday with Ice Cube, Dropkick, STP, Suicidal Tendencies, Melvins, Andrew WK, and Anti-Flag.

Dropkick makes any show worth the price of admission.

The Melvins are the best band on the bill. Dropkick second. I had to work as a runner on a show where Anselmo performed, and frankly he is an awful human being.

Five star get after it 100 percent Juice Key-Playing. MAN

Nah Chevelle is the best band their in my opinion

When in doubt. Nap it out

Damn I want to go

I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction:

Seeing this with a bunch of bands I used to listen to quite a bit brings up a question I have been curious to ask others for a while...

Do any of you ever listen to bands you frequented when younger, that everyone at the time thought were so angry and so loud, and think to yourself, they were not nearly angry or loud enough?

One that popped in my head was Rage Against the Machine. I heard a song of theirs on the radio recently and, while at the time was a definite go to for me in my angst ridden late high school/early college years, probably could've fit into this category

Personally, I wouldn't throw Rage into this category simply because they were angry about real shit. Their music is still very relevant and some (not trying to get close to that political line) more relevant than ever.

I hear you on being angry about real shit. But to me, that's why they should've been angrier. Just seems like people didn't get angry enough where things were done to make their issues not relevant.

I agree with this assessment. Their music was of course meant to be loud and aggressive, but that wasn't the exclusively point. They had some shit to say and wanted to make sure you were listening.

When I was 10-13 I thought Disturbed, A7X, Godsmack were as hard as it got. Then Deep Blue by Parkway Drive released in 2010 and it was game over for that phase of my life lol

I definitely relate to this, but thought this way until I was about 18. Then I discovered As I Lay Dying and Parkway Drive. There's some pretty awesome and scary stuff when you fall into the Metalcore and Deathcore rabbit hole. Check out the band, Breakdown of Sanity sometime; I really like them

Just wait until you find out about Death Metal with how crazy they sound.
Examples: Decide, Bolt Thrower, Dying Fetus, Bloodbath, Gruesome, Celtic Frost, Death, and Hyprocrisy.

"That Gritty git doesn't exactly look like a Horkie, but by Gork and Mork it acts like one!"-Random Horkie Boy

Yeah I've ventured into the Death/Black metal stuff myself, some of it is fantastic! As a guitar player, I always try to broaden my perspective for influences a ideas. Behemoth is one of my favorite all time death/black metal bands.

Metalcore is my forte (my profile pic is Horizons by Parkway Drive lol) and I love BoS! I go to several shows a year and am in a local Blacksburg metalcore band myself. We are all students!

Nice! What's your band's name? I got to go see AILD with Phinehas, Currents, and Frost Koffin about 2 weeks ago and it was awesome! I get withdrawal if I don't go to at least one concert a year. And it makes me sad that BoS broke up

Oooo I've been wanted to start a band

When in doubt. Nap it out

Forerunner is our band name! I'm so bummed I couldn't go to that show, it sold out before I found out I could go. AILD is one of my favorite bands of all time as well.

Nice!

I'm seeing Hatebreed in Silver Spring later this week. Obituary, Terror, Cro-Mags, Fit for an Autopsy are also playing. More of a crossover lineup than metalcore but going to be sick either way.

Many years ago, when Disturbed's "Down With the Sickness" was just starting to be played on the radio, I saw them, Godsmack, and STP (Scott Weiland just got out of rehab then) in concert. It was such an awesome show and unfortunately STP really didn't live up to the other two at the time. I haven't heard any of their new sound. Anyways, looks like a great lineup

The new STP is pretty decent. Everyone expecting the guy to be Scott will be forever disappointed. What I've heard of him doing old stuff is that he sings the songs the way he should. Not trying to sound like Scott. Chester Bennington never had the same range as Scott, but tried to force himself to sound like the originals. He never made the songs his own. As a result, I never liked what I heard out of that lineup.

Everyone seems to forget that Scott's voice had changed a lot after all the problems. When he came back from Velvet Revolver, he really couldn't sing songs like Trippin like he used to. They did start including ones like Silvergun Superman in their sets. And that is one stellar fucking song.

I've been a long time fan but only once made it to see them in concert as a complete band (2000 HFStival). Pretty sure I saw Scott a couple years prior at the HFStival as a solo act, and I remember seeing Talk Show in '97 after Weiland found himself in jail/re-had again. The whole band was greater than the sum of their parts. I would definitely like to see them play with the current lineup.

OMG, HFStival is a name-drop I haven't heard in decades! No reincarnation or Eliot in the Morning show will ever top those events where the sound literally made the concrete at RFK fall.

Disclaimer: RFK was/has been falling apart for years. It's awesome and frightening to see music do it.

Godsmack was a fun show, my first ever concert was Drain STH, Godsmack and Black Sabbath.

Now finish up them taters; I'm gonna go fondle my sweaters.

Godsmack was damn good, but I can't tell you how much Disturbed brought it that show. They left a huge impression on me that night.

And my first concert was Four Non Blondes opening for Aerosmith at the Roanoke Civic Center. At the time I thought it was awesome, but Aerosmith was all about promoting their "Get a Grip" album and didn't play any of their legendary stuff. I look back upon that concert with much disappointment these days.

So many bands that I haven't thought of in years....Staind without Aaron Lewis will be interesting

Now finish up them taters; I'm gonna go fondle my sweaters.

Aaron Lewis is gonna be there

When in doubt. Nap it out

Oh really? I thought his Staind days were done when he went to country....he did some interview saying he just couldn't do it anymore

Now finish up them taters; I'm gonna go fondle my sweaters.

There's been some articles saying that they are going to take this reunion slow

When in doubt. Nap it out

Looks like a soundtrack to my late teens and 20's....fuck I'm getting old.

Surprised to see Chevelle not closing the night out. They are on my very short list of bands that I need to see live.

Me and you both my friend

When in doubt. Nap it out

The teenager/twenty-something in my past wants to go see this, but the "now I'm a responsible adult with kids and no reason to really complain" is like "turn that music down!"

Life changes in weird ways.

If you're reading the above post and thinking, "is this guy serious?!?," you can safely assume I'm not.
