Congrats to UVa on winning their first national championship in a sport that actually matters

That's one more than VT has...

We have no room to talk crap for awhile.

Yes,that's the Hokie Bird riding a camel. Why'd you ask?

I'll congratulate them when a UVA fan congratulates VT on it's recent Wrestling National Title

You will see this game, this upset and this sign next on ESPN Sportscenter. Virginia Tech 31 Miami 7

This man got it

When in doubt. Nap it out

It was an individual title not a team title so it's not the same. I'm a huge fan of the wrestling team and Mekhi Lewis but our fans should really not get into this type of one-up contest because honestly, as much as I hate it, it's not going to come out well for VT.

Joffrey, Cersei, Ilyn Payne, the Hound, Jeff Jagodzinski, Paul Johnson, Pat Narduzzi.

They won it in a sport were you shot a ball into a bucket while our boy Mekhi Lewis had to take people down. Keep people down on the mat. Escape from their grasp. Fend off some deep deep shots. And try to turn people on top for basically 35 minutes in 3 days so all in all Mekhi Lewis national championship is much more physical than Uva's

When in doubt. Nap it out

Uva isn't about being the more physical and never will be it's all about being the more intellectual, arrogant, Zima drinking, prick than anything else. I know most fans are okay but there are the few insufferable fucks who will be unbearable after this. Simply put the 15 straight ain't worth shit anymore not is UMBC. Time to stomach a tough punch and back our kids so hopefully one day we can finally have a leg to stand on.

UVa is going to earn 7 figures off this win, easy. And that's before you factor in the long term benefit. The VT athletic department got a nice pat on the back for wrestling.

That's the difference, and that gap between us and them just grew. If you don't think the extra funds are going to significantly impact them in football, you are nuts, and given where we are now, that should terrify the Hokie Club.

I prefer to think that Buzz realizes just a little bit that he should have stayed at VT and challenged UVa, Duke, and UNC for dominance in the ACC.

I know that and it sucks but Mekhi Lewis title run was amazing and I don't want people to put any disrespect on it

When in doubt. Nap it out

I'm not in any way taking away from Lewis the dudes bad to the bone I'm just saying it's gonna be rough until if we ever win a team Natty in something big like basketball or football or say wrestling which sucks but it is what it is unfortunately

Directions from Blacksburg to whoville, go north till you smell it then go east until you step in it

While we are on the topic of Mekhi Lewis and wrestling. The World team trial announced some of the wrestlers. Mekhi being one of them also David McFadden and Ty Walz are gonna compete in it.

When in doubt. Nap it out

A lot of UVA fans I saw instantly talked about buying swag and donating more money to the school.

Not sure people understand the impact especially with the recent discussions about VT's funds.

I watched as many VT matches as I could for all 3 days of the NCAA wrestling tournament. I'm a huge fan of the VT wrestling program. I was heartbroken when Haught lost last year and ecstatic for Lewis this year.

But that is not an argument you want to make and be taken seriously.

Joffrey, Cersei, Ilyn Payne, the Hound, Jeff Jagodzinski, Paul Johnson, Pat Narduzzi.

Of course it's not the same. But I don't care. The world will go on without me congratulating the Douchebags of UVA, my family included.

You will see this game, this upset and this sign next on ESPN Sportscenter. Virginia Tech 31 Miami 7

Why would you even post this? All I want to do is hit the down arrow repeatedly.

Joffrey, Cersei, Ilyn Payne, the Hound, Jeff Jagodzinski, Paul Johnson, Pat Narduzzi.

Imagine the field day we'd have if we won a national championship and found out they immediately created a thread like this on The Sabre

That would be a lovely day

When in doubt. Nap it out

I would imagine that on that day, we would give zero fucks about what's going on The Sabre.

I don't give any fucks about what's going on over there ever!

ASTERISK. #Double Dribble
UVA was gifted the semifinal win over Auburn by the refs. They had no business being in the final. Gifted, not earned.

The double dribble was caused by the Auburn player tugging on the jersey of the UVA player. So many should have's...

First... Fuck UVa. Really... Fuck those guys.

However, in that situation a ref is not going to call that double dribble. And if that had been NAW, or J-Rob in that exact same situation, and the refs had called a double dribble, you'd burn down the building and I'd get you the matches.

As far as the three pointer attempt by Guy... The Auburn dude jumped into his space. That's a foul. Again, if that had been Med in the corner instead of Guy, and the ref swallows his whistle, you'd burn down the building again.

I thought the refs did a good job in the final. There were some questionable play-ons, and some missed travels, but it swung both ways.

I love college basketball. I live for March. Last night I just had to take off my O/M glasses and just watch a good game where great defense was played. I was not disappointed, as it was definitely one of the most exciting finals in recent memory. Tony Bennett put together an excellent squad where you had a big three (Guy, Jerome, Hunter) but everyone on the floor was a threat to make a play.

Hat's off. But now it's over and football's next. This year, the streak get's it's driver's license. Fuck you, Hoos.

Leonard. Duh.

This year, the streak get's it's driver's license.

That's going to make for a great sign in Scott Stadium Lane North this year.

"Hey, UVA, can I borrow the car? I just got my license!
- The Streak (16 years)"

If you're not sure if my comment warrants a "/s", it probably does.

Double dribble, straight up, black and white, and before any contact by AU player. Refs call that, game over and no need to debate the debatable foul call on the 3-ball No need for the hypotheticals about VT, we would get the same shitty deal AU got. UVA sucks

My only hope is this kicks or fanbase in the ass enough to support our program to the point where we have the funds to actually chase a title.

We can't ignore this anymore. The streak is meaningless when they have the trump card.

"I regret nothing. The end." - Ron Swanson

Totally agree with this. Bennett has set the standard, Mike Young and the rest of the basketball program needs to step up and meet the challenge ahead.

Two people are by far the main reasons they have baseball (John Grisham) and basketball (Paul Tudor Jones) championships now. It's not the entire UVA donor base. So even though VT absolutely needs to grow the donor base to bring in more money, if any uber wealthy benefactor wants to come forward and jumpstart a VT sport to the next level I'm all for it.

Joffrey, Cersei, Ilyn Payne, the Hound, Jeff Jagodzinski, Paul Johnson, Pat Narduzzi.

Yep, VT just unfortunately does not have the benefit of a small number of big time benefactors. The only school that really did it by steadily growing the donor base was Clemson in football, but they decided to maximize their return there and go all in instead of investing heavily across the athletics department. While VT has raised its sports profile across the board, our big revenue generators are in very uncertain times right now.

VT just unfortunately does not have the benefit of a small number of big time benefactors

We have a pretty good one.

While true, he also is a former board member at UVA and donates very heavily to them as well having an MBA from Darden. Plus I believe the biggest part of his philanthropic efforts are focused on the academic side at both schools, which I can't fault him for at all.

Grisham wasn't the only one involved in elevating their baseball program, though he was definitely the public face of it. Les Disharoon and a handful of others lent more than a token to the effort, and they got what they paid dearly for. In Grisham's favor, he also donated a lot of money to local little leagues for field improvements, etc. Those dudes really love baseball, and the 'hoos benefited from proximity as much or more than any love for UVA.

Reel men fish on Wednesdays

It won't. We're so far behind that by the time we catch up, if ever, no one one will look at this moment as some sort of inflection point or call to arms as it will be so far in the past as to be beyond most folks recollection. I'm probably a bit more jaded than I should be, given the recency of this event, but I don't think I'm wrong either.

Hold on now. UVA didn't win the national championship because their alumni donate a ton of money.

While I'm sure their facilities contribute to recruiting, they won for one simple reason: they have arguably the best college basketball coach in the country. Bennett has dominated the ACC for the last few years, and he's not doing it with a bunch of Zion Williamsons and Kyrie Irvings. And he doesn't even make a TON of money (according to USA Today he's 4th nationally in salary, but Nos. 3-10 are all within $400k of each other).

Teams win NCAA men's basketball titles by having elite coaches, period. Only twice in the last 20 years did a coach other than these guys win a title: Tom Izzo, Mike Krzyzewski, Gary Williams, Jim Boeheim, Jim Calhoun, Roy Williams, Billy Donovan, John Calipari, Rick Pitino, Jay Wright, Tony Bennett. (The list of runner-up coaches in the last 20 years is WAY less impressive BTW)

The doll's trying to kill me and the toaster's been laughing at me.

One of those times was Calhouns under study with a player that willed his team to a championship. And was with most of Calhouns players as it was his 2nd season coaching.

Good point. And the other championship since 2000 was Bill Self and Kansas, Not exactly a slouch of a coach, or program.

So it's pretty much only the cream of the crop coaches winning it all. Not really any Cinderellas or underdogs in that sense.

The doll's trying to kill me and the toaster's been laughing at me.

Has it ever been anything but the top? In football I think Larry Coker was the worst coach I can remember to win and he had the best team ever.

They have a basketball championship, true, but the streak is not meaningless. UVa and VT recruit the same kids, have about the same grade of coaching staff (except Coach Bud/Wiles) and they have not won a football game in 15 YEARS. The Freshman classes that will play this year have no real memory of the last time UVa won a football game against the Hokies.

That means something.

Leonard. Duh.

Good thing the players play for Bennett and not UVA.

What? Almost our whole team is leaving or considering leaving now that Buzz left. I'm not sure what you're trying to get at, but I think we're in a glass house.

Glass houses have the most amazing views!

A few times a year I have that moment where I realize I could live and die without seeing Tech win a natty, and that our high water mark may have been when I was too young to even appreciate it fully.

I'm having another one right now.

Congratulations to Tony Bennett and no one else.

The Orange and Maroon you see, that's fighting on to victory.

This is exactly how I feel. Congratulations to Tony Bennett. Fuck the rest of 'em.

Yep. Pretty much this. I'm not convinced our trajectory is at all headed the direction we all hope it is. Cynical? Yes. Inaccurate? Probably not.

It's unreal really. Coastal Carolina - which is a strip mall in myrtle beach- won the college world series- the national championship - the big one. VT has never won a title in any sport. MD has 50 titles including FB and BB, UVA has scores of titles, and now a major one, you almost have to try not to win when you are a school the size of VT. We've had our chances too- women's final four in soccer, Women's college world series, Playing FSU's illegal team in new orleans that one year, etc. It's so maddening and frustrating.

It's starting to look like 99-11 was our window. Forever is a long time but I have to admit I have been considering this more and more seriously over the last 6-7 years.

I'm coming to this realization myself. We squandered our best years to truly vault ourselves into the elite by being complacent and not capitalizing on the momentum to boost fundraising. And jury is out on Fuente big time right now. If he can't get this thing going the other way, I fear we will go the way of Nebraska with our glory days squarely behind us.

I'd give anything to have the problems I remember complaining about during my time as a student 2002-2007. Those were some years and not even close to the best of the 1999-2011 window, but still better than 2010s have been.

Double dribble.....

I'm bummed, but this ain't it chief

Guy getting two free throws after tripping over his own player's feet down 3 in OT changed the entire fucking game...

I was wondering why they never showed an angle of that play after it happened it looked like the dip shit slipped on himself so obligatory ttech player must've breathed on him, flagarant one

Directions from Blacksburg to whoville, go north till you smell it then go east until you step in it

You knew when it went to OT, TT would score 3-4 points max in 5 minutes.. you knew it... just like Purdue.

Congrats to UVA! It would be inappropriate to mention it was the easiest path to the championship in tourney history and they still needed multiple miracles to win it.

Lost count of how many times there was body contact on a shooter tonite and it was never called. #Double Dribble. Totally gifted by the referees.

Great coach, discipline, deep bench, players believe, team not just stars...

Gotta hand it to them. Looks like a great model for building a winner.

deep bench? They had an 7-8 player rotation, which is pretty typical...

3 guys played regularly off the bench, Key, Salt, and Huff. Huff played about 10 minutes a game.

Credit where credit is due. Well done UVA.

Congrats, Hoos.

I know you'll be insufferable for a while, but you got it done. Some stuff sure fell your way.

Its nice to have some friendly zerbras as well

Love it or hate it, LOLUVA is on the rise in both basketball and football. They have made some really good moves while we are still waiting to see....

Is it basketball season yet?

It's hard not to be on the rise when you were in the basement.

Football? I dont know about that one. I'm still not convince Mendenhall is there long term..

And yet I'm still screaming FUCK UVA. The number of nonsense calls and non-calls that had to go their way to make this happen is insane. I do get satisfaction out of the fact that this win for them will forever be tied to losing to a #16 seed though

That's my only hope in this that they keep bringing that up just cause I know how much UVA fans hate that being brought up

Directions from Blacksburg to whoville, go north till you smell it then go east until you step in it

I'm pretty sure tonight makes them not care anymore. Kind of like how Cubs fans don't really give a shit about Bartman anymore after they won in 2016.

"I regret nothing. The end." - Ron Swanson

What makes this worse is now Bennett can recruit ace players like Hunter because he's now won a national championship which is gonna make the gap even larger. Shit the more I think on it the worse this gets

Directions from Blacksburg to whoville, go north till you smell it then go east until you step in it

But we can recruit better too cause we can sell players "you'll get to play against multiple teams that have won the national championship, one is our in state rival"

(add if applicable) /s

If you don't think that's a selling point, you didn't listen to Buzz enough.

I'll be completely blunt with you and just straight up tell you you're wrong. You've past the point of opinion and you're blowing smoke up your own ass to put it as nicely as I can.

Buzz is gone, he doesn't care what happening to VT. We're being surpassed in both monetary sports by teams in our own conference at every facet and you still think that UVA winning the championship helps us.

I mean seriously give me a pitch VT is going to make to a recruit that's a take a both schools and I'll throw you an endless list of rebuttals.

(add if applicable) /s

Whether UVa won tonight or not, they were in the championship game. That, in itself, was an accomplishment. They get their moment.

I'd rather that VT play in a conference with good teams than one with bad teams. When VT does win, like they did this year, you know they had a good team. It sucks to win a lot of games, only to have everyone question the quality of those wins, and the caliber of your team.

I don't really think UVa winning championships helps VT directly, as I already explained. But the perception that the ACC is the best does help VT.

As far as what Buzz thinks, I'm sure I don't know. But he did spend 5 years at VT, and I'm certain there are aspects of the job here that he'll miss. One of those aspects is regularly playing UNC, Duke, and UVa.

So many different emotions right now. Our major programs are trending in the opposite direction and then this happens is really a kick in the gut.

Congrats to UVa... They certainly had a fair amount of luck fall their way but this is now their signature achievement for an already stellar athletic program. Ugggh

Must of been a deal made with the devil last year to lose to UMBC and then win it all this year. There's a puppet master somewhere who's hands are really tired right now.

“Careful Man, There's a Beverage Here”

They only beat one top 2 seed in the entire season and that was in February. Had a cake walk to the championship and were gifted the final 4 and championship game by atrocious calls.

Their "fans" will use this over us but I don't care. I'd rather be a VT student and fan than a uva one so who cares about their trash talk

No one will remember how easy their path was 5 years from now and I don't think that is something that we as a fan base should hold against them. They beat every team in front of them and that is just the way the format works.

I would certainly have loved for VT to have the same kind if breaks but that is just not how things go for Hokie fans.

The problem is, how close is VT to winning a championship in anything? Football? We lost to ODU last season and we don't have a real 2 deep on the DL right now. Can Fuente sign the number of 4 and 5 star players you need to compete with Bama/Clemson/OSU? Basketball? Buzz left 4 scholarship players.... that's if they don't transfer. We just hired a guy for his first P5 job. Wrestling? we need about 4 more finalists to have a remote chance to compete with Penn State, OSU, Iowa, etc.- we are not really close there. Softball? good team, middle of the ACC- would take insane luck. So yeah... UVA built an insane new basketball arena, hired one of the most well respected coaches available at the time, and now dominate the ACC - including Duke and UNC. To add to that, they suffer one of the most embarrassing losses in sports, and come back and win it all the next year. Joy.

Softball? good team, middle of the ACC

For what it's worth I actually agree with most of what you're saying, but I'll keep doing this until you start Googling before you post.

The Orange and Maroon you see, that's fighting on to victory.

Is the season over?

My bad I forgot you're a seer.

What the hell am I supposed to do but go off of the numbers we have right now?

The Orange and Maroon you see, that's fighting on to victory.

I'm messing with you, as I was wrong.. they are now top tier this year.. I was paying more attention a few weeks ago, and it looked like the folks that cover the sport had them in the mid pack of the ACC. I was wrong. Thank you for the correction.

I'm not looking to hold this against them, but the comment got me curious. What is the highest average seed a team has faced on its way to a march madness championship? Hardest path would be 5.33, easiest would be 14. LOLUVa was 8.

I was rooting for UVA to win the championship this year if it wasn't going to be us - I'm not sure there is a more deserving coach to win the National Championship than Tony Bennett. He is teaching way more than just basketball lessons that will make a lifelong impact on those young men. A huge accomplishment for UVA, and by far the biggest win in the history of the state of Virginia.

The one thing I realized is that we've got a long way to go in our programs to be in the spotlight. Hit that donate button, Hokies.

I was rooting for UVA to win the championship this year if it wasn't going to be us

Seriously, why? I cannot wrap my head around rooting for Virginia Tech's biggest rival.

He is teaching way more than just basketball lessons that will make a lifelong impact on those young men.

If this is the reason, every single coach around the country also feels they are doing the same thing.

I grew up outside of Charlottesville and have had family, close friends, and former and current colleagues that went to UVA. I think it's fantastic that all of them can celebrate this accomplishment. Though I am envious of their celebrations. My dad went to VT, and I'm a lifelong Hokie. Part of being a Hokie doesn't mean I am sworn to hate UVA - but part of being a Hokie does means being amicable - even to our rivals- , and giving credit when credit is due.

Thanks for the response, leg. I certainly give credit where credit is due, they have a very good head coach and basketball team, as well as sports department overall. Given the rivalry, I won't root for them whatsoever, in anything. That school turned my formerly very cool, laid back cousins in giant snobs / d-bags. I won't congratulate them on the win unless I expect to hear the same for our wrestling title. I won't, so I'll keep the congratulations to myself. Envious? Absolutely. Petty? Probably, but it's just how I feel.

Credit where credit is due – congratulations Tony Bennett. I'm not a UVA apologist, but one of the best teams in the country won last night. They've been good all year – sound fundamentals, a solid rotation, and dudes that can flat out play. Their only regular seasons losses came to a Duke team that consists of three top ten maybe even top five picks and the #1 overall pick and generation talent in Zion. Yes, winning a natty takes some luck. But the idea that they were gifted a path to the natty is sour grapes and tinfoil hat nonsense. I suppose the committee knew a 12 would beat a 5 and a 13 would beat a 4? Nope, but it happened and UVA was the benefactor. It's a great redemption story, but it's not a ratings conspiracy. Arguably, Zion v. (literally any other tournament team) would have been a better final. Zion is a ratings magnet and has national appeal. Nor is it an officiating conspiracy...I know, I know, but GeRomE DouBlEd DriBbLeD! Yup, he sure did, but the officials also missed a foul, maybe even an intentional foul (jersey grab, non-basketball play), prior to the "double dribble heard 'round the world", and the foul on Guy...was a foul. It always has been and always will be foul. Calls are missed. Some go your way, but most don't. It's a charge on one end, but a block on the other. VT has a long way to go to compete with the success UVA is having across athletics. I'm glad every day that I'm a Hokie, but perspective is a wonderful thing.

Were it any other uniform, they'd be pretty easy to root for.

Bennett is a phenomenal coach and seems like a great guy.

Hey guys look on the brightside... they lose Jack Salt off a team that has won a national championship and 30 of their last 34 ACC games.. lol. They are surrreeee gonna take a step back next year... LOL

They will also lose Hunter and, as some reports suggest, possibly Jerome and Guy.

Is it basketball season yet?

If I'm any of those three I'm bolting. No way it gets better than going out on top when another year of development won't change your stock that much.

The Orange and Maroon you see, that's fighting on to victory.

True, but where is Guy going to go? Be the hero on campus or mire around the G league for 35K?

Guy will definitely get a serious NBA look, and probably drafted.

Leonard. Duh.

Hunter- maybe... Guy? nope.. Jerome? I seriously doubt it. I don't think he leaves with an early second round projection. It is not out of the realm of possibility that they all return.

Most think Hunter is a potential lottery pick. Not a chance he's coming back. Many others have Jerome as a late first round pick.

Is it basketball season yet?

The way I see it, they have one national championship and two of the most historic losses in all of college basketball. The premier preseason tournament is an annual reminder of uva's loss to Chaminade and their loss to #16 UMBC will be replayed annually until another #1 stumbles in 40 years or so. Without google, can anyone tell me who the 2006 college basketball national champ was? There is a national champ every year, but those historic upsets are much more rare and much more lasting.

Come to Blacksburg and see what the Hokie Pokie is really all about

UMMMMMM.. VT is playing Chaminade next year in Maui, and I'm going to be in attendance in person. With a new coach and a roster of portal guys and Kabongo... just saying.

Is VT going to be #1 in the country next year with a three time national player of the year on the roster? Apples to oranges my dude

Come to Blacksburg and see what the Hokie Pokie is really all about

We've never been #1 in any sport. So maybe we should get there before we start ridiculing the losses by their teams which did

"I regret nothing. The end." - Ron Swanson

So you have to be ranked #1 to ridicule an epic failure by a #1? Since when. I laugh at you the same way I laugh at uva everytime they show the UMBC roll. That Chaminade loss was EPIC and unfathomable at the time and is still considered by many to be the biggest upset in all of college sports.

Come to Blacksburg and see what the Hokie Pokie is really all about

Are we sure Chris Clarke isn't taking the KaBONGo with him....

Nobody cares when you got it, they only care if you have one. They do, we don't. And that will not change anytime soon.

Ask any Hoo today if they still care about Chaminade or UMBC, and try not to get mad when they openly laugh in your face.

"I regret nothing. The end." - Ron Swanson

The Hoos would laugh, but ask most people around the country and uva basketball is known for two things: (1) Losing to Chaminade in the greatest upset in all of college sports. (2) Being the only #1 seed to lose to a #16 seed in what is the greatest upset in the history of the NCAA tournament.

This championship will matter for 3-4 years and yes they will have a banner, but unless they turn into Duke/UNC soon, they will always be known for their losses first.

Come to Blacksburg and see what the Hokie Pokie is really all about

My sister went there and I'm driving to Charlottesville today for work. Other than than, this has no impact on my life.

This is my thoughts exactly, except for a little more money in the Bovada account after parlaying the over with Chelsea -1.5 earlier in the day.

Congrats to UVA, enjoy your Big Mac feast in DC

Now finish up them taters; I'm gonna go fondle my sweaters.

This is why I liked when we were bad at basketball... I would have cared way less about UVA winning it all.

If you're not sure if my comment warrants a "/s", it probably does.

That's very thoughtful.

Ain't that just sweet of him!

Thread title aside - it's astounding to see the sour grapes. Yes UVA won. Congratulate them and move on. Nothing wrong with giving credit where credit is due. You guys are adults - act like them.

We checked the score at halftime and went to bed. Screw 'em. I have to live with the result, but I didn't have to torture myself by watching it happen. Screw 'em.

Even the planet seems gloomy by the results from last night's game. Current weather in Hooville: overcast & grey. Not even the rest of the town beyond campus gives a shit. Appropriate mood, I'd say. Yes. Oh well. F-k it.

Not that this affects the outcome, but just pointing it out:

Texas Tech beat teams seeded 14, 6, 2, 1, and 2

UVA beat teams seeded 16, 9, 12, 3, 5, and 3.

I don't care what they do, they will forever be known by this

I just wish we had that clip in higher definition. And bigger.

Sour grapes aside, UVA has built this program the right way. The invested in JPJ, invested in a coach that is universally liked and appears to be there for life.

They took an average to slightly above average basketball program and have built it into a national powerhouse. There will be time for being petty but now's not it. I think there are lots of parallels to UVA basketball and VT football, would be nice to see our football program take the same leap forward their basketball program has.

Speak for yourself. Any & everything I can do to be a thistle in their foot & make their fanbase lives less enjoyable is completely and all on the table (as long as it doesn't break the law).

Why does this thread exist?

Doesn't get much more blatant than those two plays

Now finish up them taters; I'm gonna go fondle my sweaters.

I winced along with the player on that second one. But the ref didn't see the ball off his pinky. They initially ruled TT ball, only the video replay overturned it.

I know, I wasn't posting so much for the tweeters comment, just the obvious reach in foul before it even got swatted out of bounds by the UVA player

That Ty Jerome travel is ridiculous though, not even 5 feet from the ref

Exhibit C

he established position and the offensive player ran over him. I have no problem with that call. Now, when guy tripped over diakite's feet when the blonde wonder was setting a screen and they called a foul on the TTU player, that I have a problem with.

Which paper was this?

Come to Blacksburg and see what the Hokie Pokie is really all about

Ty Jerome and De'Andre Hunter have both declared for the draft...now just waiting on man-bun

Yeah, I'm thinking he'll go too. He'll add to his take by being able to get his wedding registry back on line so he can reap the rewards the lolhoo? faithful will shower upon him and his soon to be bride, NCAA be damned. My tears, sniff, flow copiously with the hope that we'll never see him darken our hardwood again.

Had to deal with my uva friend in his new champ gear and it brought me buckets of joy to point out they couldn't even sell out Scott's stadium for a fuckin national championship celebration to which he said most UVA fans were at work . . . .. . On a Saturday yeahhhhhh

He was too busy watching the Masters to drive 40 minutes to be there God they are insufferable

Directions from Blacksburg to whoville, go north till you smell it then go east until you step in it

Exactly what I stated earlier. The VERY next day, outside of campus, nobody else gave 2 shits & a dump about it.

Would that your words were true. You wouldn't believe how Richmond has acted. The Richmond Times has been all lol'hoo?s since the game, and I've even seen a bunch of "new" V-scissors hats at the Food Lion here in tiny Mathews. You'd think they won a world war or something.
In defense of the fan that decided to watch The Masters instead, he had the right idea. By Saturday, even hard core lol fans had to be getting tired of the diarrhea-like gushing of ink and blather about the "comeback kids" and their saint-like, but oh so humble, coach. Do I envy them their glory, well, yeah, I guess I do. But I don't have to like them for it.

I pointed out to my idiot UVA friend that they already had a trophy, a fake Commonwealth Cup. He said that was one of their big recruiting strategies for football.
