I'll just take all the TE's for $15

I refuse to participate because Ore and Evans are in this over RMFW and David Wilson. Also, both Clowney and Justin Harper were more "explosive" than Josh Morgan or Danny Coale.

I honestly believe Justin Harper was the most underrated wide receiver we've ever had. He was inconsistent his first three seasons, but in 2007, he was second on the team in receptions and first in receiving touchdowns. He could win jumpballs and had elite speed, as he demonstrated on his punt return for a TD against Kansas. I'm surprised he didn't really pan out in the NFL the way Morgan and Royal did.

Perhaps he was too reliant on his speed in the NFL, maybe that or nagging injuries, who really knows but Justin? Regardless, he's working his way up the ladder as a coach right now. He is currently the WR coach at Towson University in Maryland.

Also, both Clowney and Justin Harper were more "explosive" than Josh Morgan or Danny Coale.

False, Danny Coale fucked so I'm going to say he was more "explosive" than the rest of those guys.

you're thinking of seth dooley?

I take Vick for $5, David Wilson for free, that looks like Boone for $1, then Royal to Coale for the last $6.

Vick - Boone - Ore (substitute Ryan Williams if possible for $2) - Davis. Easy.

QB - $4 Tyrod Taylor
TE - $2 Jeff King
RB - $1 Ryan Williams (not listed, but plenty of talent)
WR - $4 Andre Davis
WR - $1 Danny Coale

Total of $12.

jeff king is 5 dollars. unless you got the peter warrick hook up and if that is the case please let me know, ill be lavernous coles and go to the store with you because ill take vick, king, KJ, and freeman for 6 bucks total.

Looks like I'm not the only one to make that mistake in the thread either...replace him with Boone and put in Vick instead of Tyrod then haha.

yeah ill be honest. I'm pretty hokie true and true and idk who the 2 dollar TE is. but id take bucky for 2 bucks? or randall dunn. calvin kline. even chris Cunningham. with the other weapons around them I think theyd all do pretty well.

QB - Vick for 5. No brainer.
TE - Boone for 1. Kind of a steal.
RB - Ore for 2. People forget how good he was in 2006. Rushed for 200 yards in back to back weeks and singlehandedly carried that offense after back to back losses to Georgia Tech and Boston College.
WR - Davis for 4. Reuniting him with Vick.

This was my team exactly. Good picks!

Now for my rant....RMFW not being available is a disgrace. My list of VT RBs goes:
1. RMFW
2. Suggs
3. Jones

Jeff King is the real steal for $2, plus you get him for free on the basketball team.

I think it's Jeff King for 5.

Then War Hokie cheated!

QB - $5 Vick
TE - $1 Boone
RB - $2 Ore
WR - $3 Royal
WR - $1 Coale

Gobble Till You Wobble

QB $5 Vick
TE $2 King
RB $1 Ryan Williams (not listed)
WR $4 Davis

Ernest Wilford for $12.

I was there and still have nightmares. At least Danny caught that ball.

"What kind of person would throw away a perfectly good dog?"

I can't remember the complete story but if anyone on here was at this comedy show please recount it correctly. Story goes that Chris Rock (I think, maybe another comedian) was doing a show in Burress and mentioned "the drop" and Wilford stands up in the crowd and says "hey I'm right here man" and shut him down real quick.

I don't know about that, but apparently later that winter, Wilford caught the flu and in front of the whole team Lester Karlin said "Damn nice to see Wilford can finally catch something". Lester was cold blooded man.

Gobble Till You Wobble

1. QB - Brewer - $Free
2. RB - RMFW - $Free
3. TE - Thomas - $Free
4. WR - Ford - $Free
5.
6. Profit $12

If you play it, they will win.

Vick: If we're talking "explosive" gotta take the OG
Boone: A stadium yelling "BOOOOOOONE" is a great place to be
Evans: Contentious but should have been our premiere back and if he had stayed would have broke records
Royal: A QB with lighting in his arm needs a WR that has lightning in his feet

$5 Michael Vick [Duh]
$1 Greg Boone [Hell yes Wild Turkey]
$3 Darren Evans
$3 Eddie Royal [#Value]

This is the only other option besides Ore and Davis. Vick and Boone are no-brainers.

I have too many flashbacks of passes clunking off of Boone's hands to pick him in good conscience.

For me:
TT
Royal
Ore
Morgan
Coales

But you'd be missing Wild Turkey with end arounds to Vick or Davis. Plus Boone wouldn't go down until 2-3 guys were on him. However I must've blocked out Boone's drops from memory, because I don't remember him having brick hands. Its also hard for me to imagine any combo to be more explosive than one with Vick.

This was my pick as well.

Take the shortest route to the ball and arrive in bad humor.

Vick $5
King $2
Ore $2
Royal $3

Mike Vick: $5

Lee Suggs: $4

Eddie Royal: $3

Is it basketball season yet?

Don't need a TE with that - love it

Vick, Suggs, Josh Morgan, Boone. Profit

21st century QBs Undefeated vs UVA:
MV7, MV5, LT3, Josh Jackson, Jerod Evans, Michael Brewer, Tyrod Taylor, Sean Glennon, and Grant Noel. That's right, UVA. You couldn't beat Grant Noel.

Vick and Andre Davis is all you need.

Never crimp your blasting caps with your teeth. - Dr Haycocks

Its always 110 Holden...said every mining engineer ever.

I was going to say this. Didn't Vick and Andre Davis connect on 60 yard TD plays at least once or twice a game? Add Danny Coale, or Eddie Royal for a surefire underneath route that will gain 15-20 yards each time...and Vick's legs will keep the run D honest.

yeah give me the 9 bucks on vick and davis and ill spend the rest on chip kelly as my OC. (NOT the NFL chip kelly but the Oregon one.)

QB Vick $5 duh, TE Bob Slowikowski for $2 because of awesome name and a great old school TE, Branden Ore at RB all day for $2, and gimme Eddie at WR for $3 bringing the speeeeed.

Vick and 5 Danny Coales for $10

Tyrod - 4$
Ore - 2$ (provided he has a chaperone)
Boone - 1$
Eddie royal - 3$
Danny coale - 1$

11$ because I am cheap and productive

Vick, Rambo, Imoh, Coale, Morgan

Caveat...I am assuming that in this little game Imoh is not susceptible to injury.

The first rule of Fight Club is we don't talk about turkey leg votes

Sam Rogers has decided to walk on my team as the Hback/TE.

twitter @smithey_daniel
head scout BSP scouting specializing in north florida/ southern GA highschool football scouting

Vick, Suggs, Harper, Boone... I'm kicking your ass in a big way with Vick and Suggs, so you choose whomever else you want!!!

Vick $5
No TE, Sub in Sam Rogers as Free H-Back
RB Suggs $4
WR1: Coale $1
WR2: Harper $2
WR3: Turner Free

Never Forget #1 Overall Seed UVA 54, #64 UMBC 74

The only right answer is two vicks for $5 each with Coale and Boone.

QB: Vick $5
RB: Ore $2
TE/HB: Boone $1
WR1: Royal $3
WR2: Coale $1

$12 gets me the most dynamic athlete to play the game, a solid running back to run through open holes, a bulldozer that can run/catch/throw, a deep threat, and a safety valve that is always open. They might even win 10 games behind a Curt Newsome o-line.
