We gotta have some balance for the Vent thread so here we go.
1. Young WR's looked good. Tavyion and Kaleb Smith made some great catches. Hope to see other freshman get some action with Hazelton out and Turner needing to rest his hammy.
2. James Mitchell showed promise. Still needs to improve run blocking but is an instant mismatch against secondary.
3. King showed the flash as the only RB we have that can make guys miss. Glad he will get some critical experience this year even though he needs another year in the weight room before he becomes a major factor.
4. Ashby was all over the field. Made some great plays and stuck AJ good a few times.
5. Some decent DT play from Kendricks and Pollard. Not great pass rushing but held their own in run game. Could also use another year to improve but don't have the DL depth.
6. Deablo was a bright spot in the secondary. Need him to stay healthy because he is our best bet in run alley support.
I'm angry and pissed as well but think like Mason said, if we can figure out how to utilize our offensive talent, we can get to that 7-9 win mark we hope to improve to. Oh, and turning the ball over less than 5 times will help us out as well.
