OTL: Texas A&M football and basketball among schools facing possible sanctions for medical personnel decisions

Apparently a large number of new rules were voted in inside of the last two years to separate medical staff hiring/firing decisions from coaching staff influence to ensure that the medical decisions were being made by unbiased medical personnel in terms of when athletes return from injuries and even in appropriate training and recovery programs so the rules apply even to program Athletic trainers.

Apparently both Jimbo Fisher and Buzz Williams have both potentially violated these new NCAA rules according to an Outside the Lines report in how they handled the hiring and firing of the programs Athletic Trainers, as Buzz brought Eddie Benion with him to A&M, letting go the Athletic Trainer that had been at A&M for 14 years. Fisher had intended to do the same but ended up having to hire a different candidate when his original pick chose another position.

Kansas Tennessee and Penn State were other schools mentioned in the findings as having potential violations.
