Virginia Tech offensive lineman Joe Kane has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, 247Sports has learned.
Kane, a three-star recruit out of Heritage High School (NC), redshirted his freshman season in 2018. He sufferred a season-ending leg injury and has not played at all in 2019.
A defensive tackle in high school, Kane switched to center when he arrived in Blacksburg. He was the No. 71 DT in the Class of 2018 and the No. 34 player in North Carolina in the 247Sports Composite Rankings. Appalachian State, Syracacuse, and hometown Wake Forest were some of the notable offers Kane had as a recruit.
