Ok so obvious question... What is the XFL?

WE HATE YOU.

Political GIF!!!

Good for him. I actually didn't realize he had been cut from the Bills so glad to see him get a shot somewhere else.

It's ok man. There's dozens of us that sort of keep up with your work tracking down Hokies in the NFL. Dozens, I tell ya!

Thank you!

Verified.

Thank God Terry Williams had graduated, else that play is a sack.

That year was so fun.

Edit: minus that baffling ass Georgia Tech shit.

What? You mean GT's back up QB that noone had ever heard of running all over us? Yeah.

Death, taxes, and DC bringing up GT's backup QB anytime it's even remotely relevant.

You are nothing if not dependable.

Yeah, post above mine referenced GT, and I responded- but thanks for monitoring.

To be fair, it's not like you were even wrong...

No, I *don't* want to go to the SEC. Why do you ask?

We don't love dem Hoos.

Nice to see him getting another chance, he always seemed like a quality dude

I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction:
β€œI served in the United States Navy"

Well dressed, too.

I was surprised the Bills cut him because if you read any of the preseason stuff around their camp, they seemed to really like him. It's not like their WRs were loaded so I figured he'd snag a spot for sure based on that positive vibes coming from the team. Hopefully he can shine here and another NFL team will give him a shot in a camp next offseason

Awesome! One of my favorites!

I just looked at the game schedule for the XFL. Going to be so weird for American football to be played in the Spring. Very surprised to see that weeks 7 and 8 of the season coincide with weeks 1 and 2 of the NCAA March Madness and Week 9 coincide with the Final Four. It does look like the XFL has moved one of the Saturday games to Thursday to try and avoid overlapping the Final Four. I guess they couldn't have the season start during NFL playoffs and needed a full 10 week season. They'll just have to eat what I imagine to be a massive ratings hit during weeks 7 and 8 and probably 9.

Cam pls

If you're not sure if my comment warrants a "/s", it probably does.

Kyle Chung, Ricky Walker, and Colton Taylor are the other Hokies in the XFL draft.

I'm really surprised Jerod Evans didn't declare for the draft. I would think this was his best shot at some exposure and a chance to prove himself to another NFL team possibly. The list of players has quite a few big names from college but for whatever reasons didn't pan out in the NFL. I think this could be a pretty interesting league.

He tried that once...

I believe you had to be invited. With the limited number of QBs in the league, he might not have made the cut.

Glad to hear this. Always loved Cam.

Ricky Walker to the Tampa Bay Vipers with the 17th pick in Front Seven

I like how they split out the position groups in the draft. I don't think the NFL should do that but it's a clever approach.

It's a good idea for an introductory draft, considering that every team needs a few players from every position, but once the league gets established the draft becomes more about filling the holes on your team.
