The Ladies play UNC today at 2PM at Cassell. Game is on ACCNx. I said after the last game I think the Ladies can beat anyone in the ACC at home. Today we find out. UNC is 11-2 with losses at Alabama and to Yale at home.

Their starters are relatively tall with a 6'4" Center and 6'2" and 6'3" Forwards. They also have 6'4" reserve who plays about 6 minutes per game:

Stats for the stats guys:

Going to be an interesting game. Hokies will have to be tough inside and defend the 3 as UNC shoots 42% overall and 37% from 3.

Don't have time for anymore. Just got in from walking the dog and have to be at church in a few minutes.

Go Hokies!

36-32 Hokies at the half. Not getting the homer calls from the refs; they can't seem to see the forearm push UNC is using to get open.

Doesn't matter if it's cake or pie as long as it's chocolate.

This was a very good win for VT. Also, I keep forgetting the Sylvia Hatchell isn't the coach at UNC anymore. Fun fact - she was my neighbor growing up!

Hokies played very well until they got a big lead(18?). Then they got sloppy and let UNC get back into the game. Need to develop a "killer" instinct to finish these games off. In an earlier game thread, I was very critical of Cole as PG; I thought she played very well today. Also pleased with how well Kitley played against the UNC bigs. Next two games against Pitt and Duke should be a little easier.

I'm just glad that WBB is winning ACC games now

Ladies showing 8 seed on the mock tourney chart with an up arrow. Not bad
