OT: Daft Punk retires from the music industry

1993-2021

Well that sucks. I loved their music and was looking forward to whatever they were going to do next.

I am sad to see them retire, but I love what they have done to the genre, and their influence will be in music for many more decades.

So they'll be doing Destiny full-time now?

ESPN. The coverage is excellent, you'd be surprised at how much you can pick up.

I am le sad over this news.

Because I want to keep talking daft punk:
1. Random Access Memories
2. Discovery
3. Homework
4. Human After All

Can't argue any of that.

Will say that Da Funk is probably my favorite song of theirs.

And the Tron Legacy Soundtrack is arguably the best album from start to finish

I'm a sucker for all live music so my top 5 goes
1. Alive 2007
2. Alive 2007
3. Alive 2007
4. Alive 2007
5. Tron legacy

Tbh I almost put Alive 2007 in there at #2 or 3 with Tron behind it, but went with studio albums.

I was really hoping for a 2017 tour but it wasn't meant to be 😢

Tron Legacy is one of the few albums that I'll just put on when knocking out some development without ever getting the urge to skip a song. It just bangs from start to finish.

Their live shows are better than their albums IMO. I just put that on while I work.
