Something I've kept tabs on throughout the season is how close we are to being elite. It's there. Make no mistake about it. The 2021-22 Hokies were damn close to elite.

The Hokies could be rolling into the ACC Tournament with a record of 26-5, with a 17-3 conference record, and the #1 overall seed in the ACC tournament. Those heartbreakers against Xavier, Dayton, NC State, UVA, Boston College, Miami, and Clemson would have all turned into cardiac kid victories.

But in the interests of fairness. One less 3ptr made per half in the games we won and it would be a disaster.
The Hokies would have dropped 5 more games, falling to 14-16-1, and just failing to get the first round bye in the ACC tournament.
Every shot counts.
