There's some really neat stuff in this.
Because we're all Sunday morning quarterbacks.
There's some really neat stuff in this.
I'll leave the original wording just to make the below conversation make sense... but the lady tested negative, so....
46-Year-Old Woman Hospitalized, Tested For Possible EbolaCOLUMBUS, Ohio - A local woman is being tested for the Ebola virus after a recent trip to a foreign country.
Kyle Fuller went to make a play at Bears practice on Monday and Martellus Bennett took offense and body slams him. ESPN is reporting he has been fined and suspended for conduct detrimental to the team.
No need for stuff like this. He could have seriously injured Kyle who is playing extremely well for the Bears and a key cog for their secondary this year.

Great article describing David Wilson, the football player and the person.
Going to miss watching him play!

Jameis put out a 10 Million dollar Insurance Policy in case of injury. There is a Student Assistant Fund that other teams including FSU have used to help protect highly rated players. For example Texas A&M used it on and O-Line and with that he decided to return to school for his senior year. I get the point that it is trying to help the player come back and finish his education with taking some risk out if he gets hurt. IMO its like paying for a player to stay and win except he doesn't receive any of the $ unless he falls out of top 10 or gets injured like Latimore of South Carolina
Preseason Camp is here, and over on my home forums as I'll call them (The Something Awful Forums), I tend to start the preseason predictions thread. That's expansive to include any posters' teams, given the TKP's Hokie appropriate focus, I figured this would be a good time to start thinking about the schedule and for me to get some perspective on how we think our Hokies will fair against it. I certainly wouldn't dismiss predictions for other teams though and if y'all want to break it out for more than just our Hokies I'm prepped and ready for that.
More (mostly) useless information for us to read way too much into.
Virginia Tech's dining hall has been voted as the best campus food. For all student athletes trying to get bigger and stronger, the Virginia Tech Hokies is the place to be. I certainly hope that Josh Sweat , Deberry, Dalton are listening in their quest to get bigger while maintaining their top speed.

HokieSports.com released an updated depth chart this afternoon (http://www.hokiesports.com/football/depth/).
Mark Shuman is indeed listed ahead of Jonathan McLaughlin at right tackle. Laurence Gibson is starting left tackle.
Hate to see this for anyone but especially a former Hokie:

I guess injuries are part of the violent game we all love though...

Looks like Kubiak's new system is really giving Tyrod the ability to spread his wings. Would love to see him start and play a full game some time.

As has been expected, VT senior offensive lineman Brent Benedict will miss his final year of football. He will take a medical hardship and will remain on scholarship.

VT says RB Marshawn Williams had hernia surgery July 25. Out 3-6 weeks. Questionable for William & Mary. #Hokies— Andy Bitter (@AndyBitterVT) August 4, 2014
Apparently he had surgery on 7/25 and will miss 3-6 weeks. I hadn't heard anything about it until today on Hokiesports.
The U never fails to disappoint. Recent report is indicating that the University of Miami is suspending its QB Kevin Olsen for the ACC season opener against Louisville for a failed drug test.

So over the last few weeks, I've been working orientation, as have several friends. Late last week, we got one hell of a surprise. Sophomore tight end Kalvin Cline will be joining the VTCC. Being a DI athlete, he will have a modified schedule, but will be an active member of both organizations. Personally, I think this is great for both the football program and the Corps, and I wanted to share with y'all.
