Hatin' On: Jeffrey Scott Brohm
Jeffrey Brohm thought leaving the Big 10 for the ACC made logical sense.
Jeff Brohm is going as Jeffrey Brohmer for Halloween and is gonna be dressed as a Brahma cow with glasses.
Because we're all Sunday morning quarterbacks.

Morning FAM, please leave your Syracuse GIFTORY requests.
To make it easier to track down, I really need a quarter, approximate clock time and description.

Please note the time change. I will host a live Q&A here at 1:00PM EDT-2:00PM EDT on Wednesday. If you have questions regarding the Hokies, upcoming opponents, or any other topics, you can add them to this thread.

Dino babers thinks that Thursday night football was established by the NFL, and that college ball should be strictly played on Saturday's.

Not a good look for a program already coming off of staff sanctions.
I'm still getting used to college football games starting on Tuesday now. Liberty went 7-0 and Jax State squeaked by WKU last night.
The other FBS newbie is currently in overtime tonight looking for their first FBS win; Sam Houston and FIU are battling in OT#2. Jerry Kill's NMSU Aggies are tied up with UTEP early.
Thursday's game of note is JMU Marshall.
Fridays pits old Big East foe Temple against ACC peer SMU.
Saturday at noon pits top ten PSU @ OSU.
Surprise post-practice media availability. I looked at the schedule on hokiesports this week and didn't see anything football-related until 10/23, so I didn't expect to get this youtube notification.
Update- despite the great effort on the scoreboard, the film study of the defense yielded very little differently than previous studies (outside of the Hokies alley players preventing big plays and DL winning one on ones rushing the passer.) I have decided instead to do a Q&A for TKP members next Wednesday, October 25th, at noon, EDT.
I will be prepared to discuss Syracuse and their read option/defense in depth intricacies, a potential shift at linebacker, the evolution of the Hokies offense, depth chart questions, and whatever else you throw at me.

Maybe I missed it, but does someone have an update on him? My assumption is that he's out for the year and taking a medical redshirt season.
Back at it again, nerds. Enjoy:
Instead of retyping the glossary, I'm just going to point to CFBD's Glossary.
Any feedback on the format, the data displayed, etc is welcomed and encouraged!
Bye week after a win is like gas station bbq sandwiches. It looks really good, you think it can turn your season around, but in reality it gives you false hope and then makes you hug a toilet for three hours.

USA today updated their Coaching Salary Database on October 2nd. Only the headcoaching database has been updated. Assistant Salary Database has not been updated since 12/7/22. Link.
Coach Pry coming in as the 51st highest paid Head Coach at an FBS public school, 10th highest in the ACC.
Virginia Tech football released a statement on Jesse Hanson earlier today: "We're aware of an incident involving Jesse Hanson and we're addressing it with internal disciplinary measures and appropriate action. It's a legal matter and we won't have any further comment."β David Cunningham (@therealdcunna) October 13, 2023
The four letter had a stat today that, at the halfway point in the season, transfer QBs account for 53.4% of all starts at the FBS level.
I would not be surprised if the number is higher for P5 schools, as the arms race appears to be upwardly mobile in nature.
If this is the new trend going forward, the days of recruiting and developing a QB for 4 years is over.
