Just in case anyone wants to know who to root for in ACC games this weekend, there are some teams that can eliminate themselves from contention this weekend.
Coastal
VT at Duke -- Duke will be officially eliminated from contention with a loss or a UNC win.
GT at UNC -- If UNC wins, they eliminate Duke and GT from contention.
Pitt at Miami -- Miami will be eliminated with a loss AND a win by VT or UNC
UVA at Wake Forest -- UVA will be eliminated with a loss AND a win by VT or UNC
I haven't done all of the math and projections, but I'm thinking Pitt will be eliminated with a loss, as long as VT or UNC wins. They've already lost to VT and UNC, so they wouldn't have any meaningful tiebreakers.
Basically, since VT and UNC are 4-1 in conference, a win by either would get one of them up to 5 (worst possible record would be 5-3), and so any team with 4 conference losses would be out.
Atlantic
Boston College was eliminated last week. Florida State and NC State were also eliminated, although it takes a bit to see. Short version, their only chance at the division title was by forcing a tie that included both Clemson and Louisville, and neither team has enough tiebreakers to win out. The long version is here.
Syracuse at Clemson - a Clemson win will eliminate Syracuse
UVA at Wake Forest - WF will be eliminated with a loss
Louisville at Boston College - a Louisville win will eliminate Syracuse

Comments
FYI, Duke will also be eliminated if Pitt beats Miami, regardless of what happens in the VT@Duke and GT@UNC games.
Fun fact, Miami is eliminated if we beat Duke or if UNC beats GT, regardless of whether they win. They don't take any tiebreakers with us or UNC in that scenario. And, if VT, UNC, and Miami all lose this weekend, Miami needs UVA to beat Wake Forest to stay in contention, and a ton of help down the line.
You are correct, Pitt and UVA are each eliminated with a loss and a VT or UNC win. And GT is only eliminated with a loss to UNC, if they win they stay in contention at least one more week regardless of what happens around them.
I'm not arguing with you, because this could be one of those #goacc 110th level tiebreakers that I hate spending too much time on in early November, but I'm trying to figure out what I'm missing.
Pitt is 2-2 in conference, and would be 3-2 with a win. That's not keeping them far enough ahead of 0-4 Duke to eliminate the Blue Devils outright.

I made a spreadsheet of all the possible outcomes (15 relevant games left for the Coastal means 2^15 = 32,768 possibilities) and figured out who wins each one, and Duke only wins the tiebreakers with one specific 6-team tie and one specific 7-team tie, 2 possibilities out of 32,768.
Way to slack off, Blue. /s

So for safety sake (I just want to win the Coastal) this weekend:
Hokies over Devils
Canes over Panthers
Jackets over Tar Heels
Just to give us some breathing room in the Coastal?
Now, UNC winning helps us and the ACC a bit with them likely remaining ranked. However, I just want to win the Coastal. If UNC loses and VT wins, VT would have to drop both of their remaining ACC games against GT and LOLUVA. That's a nice situation to be in.
Edit to post a gif that actually gifs
What's at stake this weekend: Being relevant once again in the conference. It feels really good and I'd hate to loose it.
*lose
Sorry to be that guy dude
Grammer nerds arr loosers

Thanks for the catch. Misspelling words online is soooo embarrassing
Get ready for a bunch of "something something something 1-0 this week something something something" comments.
Which is really unfortunate in this case, because it's not like last year when we were looking at all of the possibilities for games to fall just right for VT to sneak into the ACCCG. This is just outlining what each team is playing for, and what they are facing in their own chase of the conference title.
What's at Stake? Pride, Reputation, Revenge...
Thanks to UNC, Miami, Wake Forest, and VT winning . . .
All ACC Coastal teams except for VT and UNC are officially out of contention.
VT and UNC are 5-1. Therefore, any team with four or more losses is out, which includes GT (2-4), UVA (1-4), and Duke (0-5).
Pitt and Miami are both 2-3, but both lost to VT and UNC, and therefore have no tiebreakers.
which, ...is normally fun...but now these guys are in the role of pure spoiler. kinda scary
LOLUVA was in that role in August, so nothing's changed there. GT has been there for a couple weeks. They didn't spoil much today. Their primary focus at this point is to spoil UGA's season. UNC on the other hand has Duke and NCSU to deal with. Same hate as LOLUVA has for VT, but in far more capable teams. Should be a fun 3 weeks.
Edit:
FSU is eliminated (same scenarios that eliminate Pitt & Miami in the coastal). Oddly, Wake isn't eliminated. They still play both Clemson and Louisville. It's mathematically possible that they tie with clemson in a 2 way or 3 way with both. They would win the tie breaker, in both scenarios.
VT vs Wake in Orlando. Just peachy. If that scenario happens, I'd be calling Big 12 to talk to their image consultant.
Atlantic
-Clemson (6-0) can clinch by winning one more conference game.
-Louisville (6-1) can clinch with a win AND 2 Clemson losses.
-Wake Forest (3-2) can clinch by winning out AND Clemson losing out.
By the end of next Saturday, at least one team will be eliminated, since WF plays Louisville at 7. However, if Clemson beats Pitt in the 3:30 game, the Atlantic race is over.
If Clemson loses to Pitt, then it comes down to the Clemson/WF game on 11/19. If WF wins both of those games, then we have to wait for their game on 11/26 to determine the Atlantic champ.
Coastal
-VT (5-1) can clinch with 2 wins OR a win and UNC loss OR 2 UNC losses.
-UNC (5-1) can clinch with 2 wins and a VT loss OR 1 win and 2 VT losses.
If Duke beats UNC on Thursday night, and we take care of business against GT on Saturday, we can clinch the division.
If UNC and VT both have the same outcome, then we have to wait until the final week of the season, as both teams play out of conference on 11/19.
We also want Duke to beat UNC and at least one more team so UVA can lose out and take their rightful spot in last place.
