I spoke with Potomac Falls head coach Paul Barnes for a story on Dean Ferguson. I normally ask high school coaches I interview about their perception of Virginia Tech football. From time to time I've shared their responses about the Hokies. I can't recall a single one that wasn't bullish on Tech's future.
WHAT'S YOUR PERCEPTION OF JUSTIN FUENTE AND WHERE THE VIRGINIA TECH PROGRAM IS HEADED:
"He was doing his job recruiting, and he was selling his program. He has a great vision for where he wants the football program to go. I think he has excellent coaches, I really do. Like Bud Foster, I think Bud Foster is one of the best assistant coaches, if not the best assistant coach in the country. I really believe that. And I think Brian Mitchell, I think he has a great one there as far as recruiting wise. And Coach Mitchell, technique wise, is a good coach. I mean, he's got a solid staff down there. And I think that if they do what they're supposed to, I think they're going to be a powerhouse. I really do."
