Great update #
Appreciate it. I really hope we have a shot at a couple of those ATHs (WRs probably). Pretty highly rated.
I'd like to get 3 of the 4. I #
I'd like to get 3 of the 4. I think Caleb can step in and start at rover next year. He is the lynchpin. I watched Ekman play against Hayfield, and he is a perfect fit in size and speed for how the Hokie DE's are coached to play. I still think he is bigger than his listed size.
Jones seems destined to be a WR or corner. Given his size (under 6 foot), playing corner at VT would be attractive as prep for an NFL career. He would also give them a playmaker in the kick return game. Kirrven is a nice to have... very good player but the Hokies are deep at DT for a long time.

I love that we have a Recruiting forum here. Hope more people with the inside scoop can hook us up more often. I look at quick snapshots of info on hokiehaven.com but not all about paying for the full info. Would it be "wrong" of someone with an account to post info on this site?...

If we got them all, it would be huge -- maybe the best recruiting class at VT EVER .. I dig around quite a bit and wont pay for the subscriptions either .. Recruiting info is hard to come by. That's for sure. Having Shane Beamer has obviously helped in MAJOR ways. I think that if VT made Stinespring strictly a recruiter and hired a higher profile OC, it would be a huge plus in both areas (Stinespring is a hell of a recruiter). My take on remaining prospects are below (maybe a bit too optimistic). It's pretty obvious where VT's major recruiting shortcomings are: on the line (especially the O-line).
Kirven: 90% chance -- He's been a VT lean all along .. He's a Brookville boy
Ekanem: 75% chance -- seems like ND is his only other serious contender and I just don't see it .. a LB should wanna play at VT
Caleb: 60% chance -- I think he still goes to VT but OSU making a big push too .. in the end, OSU already has too many weapons and Caleb holds out too late for a spot **EDIT** plus OSU just got slammed with the sanctions .. up this to 75%
Jones: 40% -- I think he goes to Bama but supposedly he is a good friend of JC Coleman .. if he wants to be a CB, there is no better place to play than VT. If he wants to be a WR and they want him to, he will play early and often. Plus, he'll get lost in the shuffle and won't get a lot of playing time for a few years **EDIT** sounds like he's officially cut out OSU .. from what I've read, he didn't even make his official there so its down to VT, Auburn, Bama .. With Auburn's weak D and OC gone to Arky St -- don't see Auburn happening .. think it's down to Bama and VT -- I gotta good feeling about this .. He'd get lost in the pack at Bama .. not at VT --- but we'll see
Diggs: 1% -- no chance really and from what I've heard about the guy, he's a bit of a premadonna and VT has stopped recruiting him altogether .. but never say never
Another player that I think we have an outside shot at is Darius Hamilton (from NJ) -- Apparently, his grandmother/grandparents live around (Lynchburg maybe?) .. I think that VT is on his short list but probably at the bottom

Cody Journell finished #
Our place kicker of the future finished after being arrestted for being an idiot. Now we HAVE to offer Dillon Christopher a scholarship next year. I sure hope Branthover can learn to kick in a hurry. Very sad news..
Win one for the Beamer...
