Talent Level #

It's hard for me to get too excited about any player coming out of this conference. I noticed that Blessed Sacrament had a few players on the 1st and 2nd team. Congrats to those guys, but in all reality if your Varsity football team has to pull players from 8-12th grade to fill the team (as do many of their opponents) I don't see them having a huge impact at a D-1 School. Don't get my wrong, there are diamonds in the rough. Kyle Jolly played at BSH then went on to UNC and is now in the NFL. Hopefully Conte is one of those rare finds. I am just pointing out that a 270 pound kid should be able to destroy a 190 pound sophomore lineman with ease all day long... so a lot of the stats are heavily padded.

But, I have seen a lot of these games and I just don't see why coaches would recruit some of these schools as heavily as they do. Conte is from the same county I went to High School. Hope the best for him!

Conte was offerred after #

Conte was offerred after attending the summer camp in June, where he had the opportunity to show his ability against much better competition.

Nice #

That's good to know for sure. Even though sometimes size alone can get you a lot of attention at a Summer Camp. But hey, size is a good thing. Since he will be on the OL (for now at least) it will be nice to see how West End treats him, and vice-versa. With a 6'6 frame he has the ability to be a solid 300 pound blocking machine. Get him rolling on some Old Hickory Burgers and he will be there in no time.

Damn you! Now I want an Old #
