Adventures on Whiskey Lane: Episode 13

They're back. After too long of a break, Brian and Kevin talk about the UVA game, Mike London's coaching ability, and potential moves for Tech's coaching staff. They then dive headfirst into basketball talk as they chronicle the epic rise of Erick Green, the Hokies' hot start and whether or not to temper expectations.

All that and more on this week's episode of The Adventures on Whiskey Lane.

Good work, guys. You've been missed.

Damn guys, how about analogies referencing something other than video games for those of us older than 12? I doubt teenagers are your target audience.

I believe that many over the age of 12 play video games

Yeah... I'm 19 and I kinda took offense.

It was hyperbole referring to those who have not moved on to the post-adolescent world when life does not revolve around video games. FWIW

Start a career, get married, have kids, THEN you learn the value of time. Enjoy the video games while you can, I envy your free time.

That's the thing though, I'm not just sitting around all the time playing video games. I'm working toward a degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice, then will go on to get my Masters in either Psych or CJ, and then pursue a career in the FBI. In the meantime I'm looking for temporary minimum wage jobs and volunteer opportunities.

One of my biggest pet peeves is when it's just assumed that teenagers and college-age individuals are lazy and have no idea what they want to do with their lives. I respect your opinion, but speaking in generalities about my age group just because I play video games (maybe 1 or 2 hours out of my week) is really quite inconsiderate.

Exactly. I only play video games on my xbox when I don't have a test coming up. I say that because I still use my xbox for Netflix/Vudu etc.

Arkansas blew a 24-0 lead in the Belk Bowl.

That's fair

I think people see "video games" as some time waster of your generation. I'm not a gamer because I've got a bunch of kids. They play games, I join when I want to spend some time with them.

But, my parents probably thought ESPN was a huge timewaste for me. Their parents probably thought Elvis was a huge timewaste for them. On so on and so on.

Dude I'm 33 and married and try to get some Call of Duty time when I can. (Hokie_B on PSN!)

...that you didn't mention kids.

Spot on!!

I play Madden whenever I'm free but that's been rare in the last couple weeks.

Rip his freaking head off!

Guys... I don't think video games is what we should take out of this.

I appreciate your sarcasm haha.
