WVU is now a member of the big12 << big12/sec/espn love affair ..
i would swear that espn has launched a hate campaign against virginia tech, in general .. i mean, when was the last time you heard anyone on espn say any thing good about VT ???
seriously though, once Joel visits Morgan-hole this weekend, he'll see the light and go ahead and commit to VT on Monday, right??
There is zero upside to him going to WVU in my opinion. Sure, he may see the ball a little more there (with their offense) but he wont learn how to run a route, other than quick screens and quick slants .. just don't see him in blue/gold -- I hope I'm not just in denial...either way, I doubt ESPN knows anything more from the situation than anyone else. Hell, I was IMPRESSED with WVU too -- but that doesn't mean I'd choose them over VT -- It was one game. They also lost to Cuse
FWIW -- It seems like tOSU is totally out. There is literally zero buzz about Caleb at OSU (or at least I cant find ANYTHING), they're recruiting a few other athlete-types HARD, and they're about out of spots. I think it's down to VT and WVU, fo sho.

Blacksburg > Morgan-hole
Hate to be a Debby downer... but usually we lose these types of recruits. WVU offers playing time, a high speed offense, a better conference, and they just came off a record breaking orange bowl win (over an ACC team) and classes will be MUCH easier to "pass." Very lucrative to a young guy. Stinespring < Holgerson... cant argue that
When it comes to the NFL you are totally right. The only time I hear/see any WVU references in the NFL is when they talk about Owen Schmitt smashing his face in before games when he was at Dub-V with his helmet hahaha.
Other than that.. Morgantown is pathetic compared to Blacksburg. Their fans are not knowledgeable and are down right disgusting. The Gold Rush is atrocious and they WILL have a hard time beating the big dogs of that conference.
lets hope the shane-beamer-effect is a real thing .. if we close with 2/3 or 3/3 of the big 3 left, we probably owe that to the cav/shane beamer changes made = a brighter future for VT recruiting .. it's the first full time around with this "regime" so i'm gonna have a little faith. i think we get at least one of em .. i think we get caleb ..

There's nothing earth-shattering on any of the 3 guys VT is chasing, but it does say that Caleb "seems destined" for WVU.
